NDSU to MWC

I enjoy watching good mid majors. It was real fun watching Eck turn the lobos into a respectable program this season. I still follow App state. I am a fan of Wyoming, and lived in Laramie for all the Josh Allen years. San Diego state is fun, and UNLV has been a nice surprise these last few years. James Madison and Boise I enjoy watching. But FCS? I literally only care to watch like 3 programs, and one of those is now gone. It’s a pretty lame division. It already was, but now it’s downright terrible. Im fortunate to have grown up cheering for Alabama. My mother and aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents etc are all crimson tide alumni. Having a horse in that race is fun, but the Griz were always my team. My alma mater.
I would support G5 and FCS combining for one big mid major College Football subdivision.

I would not be ok with a Football only invite to the MWC. The whole benefit I see in a move to the MWC is for Basketball and our Olympic sports. Basketball would benefit tremendously from being in the MWC. They are losing some heavy hitters to the PAC but they do still have New Mexico and now Grand Canyon. If the Griz were to get an invite to the MWC, then it has to be for all sports. Otherwise what’s the point?
In general I agree. But I'd be willing to do it in the short run knowing that eventually a full conference invite would come.

What I worry about is the P4 splitting off, and the G4 starting their own playoffs. And once that money begins rolling in, there's no way they'll look to add more teams. And at that point, UM is now a 3rd tier football program, playing shit programs, hoping for a rare crumb tossed by an ndsu or sdsu once every 5 years.

If we're not already a G4 when that happens, we ain't goin' people. Damn, 8 home games a year with Central Washington, ewoo, noco, and southern Utah sounds awesome.

G6 even.

Also, once SDSU, MSU, Davis, Tarleton, etc. move up, we can probably string together some consecutive FCS National Championships! It’s a waiting game. Just a matter of time.
That's how we won our two, waiting for BSU, Nevada and Idaho to move up. Then Marshall.

Hopefully this will be a wakeup call for the University, MSU and the Board of Regents to do what they can to move up to FBS. We need to bare minimum be preparing now to make the move in the 2030s once the MWC loses a few more schools to the PAC and other Conferences.

Laramie is a true college town. You can walk from the stadium through campus to downtown. Greeley is spread out and smells like cow shit mixed with death.

The best time to see Laramie is on a moonless night, during a power outage, while wearing sunglasses 🕶 😎--good school, but the town is a fricking armpit. : ( !!!

New rumor by hoops....
Bobby retired because gris are moving to MW....
Who are the " gris," Mr. Shi__y Kitty 😺 🤔? ...Is this more of that MSDUI " alternative spellin' for " loosers ? " ( " Grizzly" has two " z's" but no " s's, " but I guess the MSDUI alternative spelling is " grissly " : ( . )
