Who should Haslam target for the New HC since BK only has a one year contract

Given he was the players choice when the NDSU job was offered and accepted by Polasek, he might be willing to take a pay cut and leave Iowa St to coach UM….motivation to show NDSU what they missed by not hiring him.

You never know. Give him sometime at Detroit, structure a deal where the pay cut isn't too dramatic, Lol yeah it would be too much to leave.

But like everyone else, I would like to see Bobby Kennedy succeed. In fact i would love to see him coach the Grizzlies to at least 1 Natty and I would be okay with oh... nine more?

I think everyone here hopes BK absolutely crushes it and stays for years.

On the other hand, it’s also realistic to acknowledge that being in a position where an internal promotion is the only option is not the best path to exploring the multitude of options available to the program.

I hope anything short of BK absolutely blowing expectations out of the water results in a proper national search.

I didn't watch the presser yesterday. Did they say BK was only getting a one-year contract or did they say they would re-evaluate at the end of next year? There is a big difference.

Let’s see how Matt Miller does as Wazzu’s OC next year. If he does a good job then I’d give him a call. Helena native, good recruiter, looking to climb the ladder, etc. Green could come back as OC.

I also think it doesn’t hurt to call Ronnie Bradford. He’d probably say no but I think you have to make the call. Otherwise, I don’t think it hurts to go to the NDSU or SDSU trees.

Plus there will be no lack of interest from other Big Sky coaches. You don’t think Cody Hawkins is itching to get out of Poky? Tim Plough?

I hope BK does great and earns the job full time, but if he doesn’t work out, the Griz will have a ton of interest. There will be no lack of suitors.

I think he probably has to beat the cats and get to Nashville to get renewed. It almost feels like a certainty that we’re gonna go in a new direction for 27. With a new president incoming, that will be a good time to hit the reset button.
