The incoming coaching staff did pull some other player’s scholarships. Ramos kept his scholarship offer from the new staff but Ramos did cite the new coaching staff’s scheme change as to a reason why he switched his commitment to Montana.

If you think FC has better scenery than the Bitterroot then you need to get exploring right now! Montana has so much to offer and lots of those spots are not popular at all.

I’ve been to Fort Collins quite a bit. It’s never stink the times I’ve been there. It a pretty badass place. Lots of shit to do there and the surrounding area.
Yeah, if scenery is what you’re after then Montana and the bitterroot are hard to beat. That being said, Rocky Mountain national park is right there, the poudre canyon, boulder and the surrounding area, Estes park. Theres telluride, manitou……. Colorado is sick man, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Thing about all those areas is they’re all within striking distance of the big city. Nightlife, world class ski resorts, etc…… it’s a bitching spot

not FC itself but right outside. I've been to both and ive explored all over Montana. Colorado is more beautiful period. It really doesn't come that close. That shit blew my mind.
Not once did I smell a bad smell in Fort Collins lmao. Smelled a lot of smells coming from the dispensaries though. Which also happen to be better than Montanas lol

I guess Taylor Sheridan didn't get the word about Colorado's supposed superiority over Monrana since the success of " Yellowstone" and " 1923" filmed in Montana and now Y's new spinoffs " The Madison," " Y: Marshals," and " The Dutton Ranch," filmed also in Montana.
Look, Colorado definitely is beautiful with Rocky Mountain
National Park, and you can love both, as the late-great John Denver did. But as my friend told me 30 years ago in Missoula on why he moved north from Colorado, " Too damn many people in Colorado !"
And Montana's quality of wilderness is better--anything remotely like The Bob and/or Selway-Bitterroot in Colorado ? Thirty years ago, wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone, but wolves had naturally existed in Glacier and The Bob for decades, yet at the same time, there were no wolves in Colorado. Now, at least occasionally, there are a few that wander down from Montana and Wyoming. And Montana has over 1,300 of our namesake grizzly bears
, the most of any state outside Alaska, which, along with its cousin the polar bear, is North America's apex predator. And Colorado has about 5-10 griz--in zoos in Denver and Colorado Springs, as the griz in Colorado has been extinct for over 100 years : ( .

But all that said. Colorado is nice as well. I like the southern portion near New Mexico for wilderness. I still don’t think it’s better than Montana as far as beauty. Also if you’ve lived in any big city in America once you visit Denver some it is really not impressive for a large city. It has a large airport and access to the over crowded mountains. That’s it.
But if Colorado is for you….just stay out here for another decade or two. Montana is essentially in the same phase as Colorado in the 80s right now.

The only thing FC truly has over Missoula is a farther southern latitude = slightly warmer climate. The population density disparity alone gives Missoula the nod. Yes, it would be nice to be closer to a major sports town and more ski resorts, but that seasonal bump doesn't outweigh the year-round Montana nature benefits, IMHO.
Agree. We spent a lot of time in that area of the state when we lived in northern New Mexico. We love to go off-roading, but take it from me - don't ever try to go over Stony pass with factory tires on your new truck. The name is a clue.
Sitting in traffic for hours to go ski or tour the park or spend time in Estes. No thanks. I could see the appeal for a young college aged couple though. I’m sure they will enjoy it for a year or two.

Sorry you don't understand the quality of habitat that the grizzly and wolf needs to live that exists in abundance in Montana but does not exist any longer in Colorado. The US Fish and Wildlife service also had at least discussed transplanting several wolverines from Montana to Colorado to try to re- establish the biggest abd most ferocious member of the weasel family into the Colorado Rockies. Why does the grizzly and wolverine live and thrive in Montana and not Colorado or for that matter New Mexico, Utah , Arizona, Nevada and California ? Because Montana has more and better wilderness habitat than Colorado and those other Western states. The California state flag features a grizzly bear
hearkening back to The Lone Bear Republic. Yet the Sierra grizzly in California has also been extinct for 100 years. Grizzlies also used to roam Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, West Texas, and parts of Northern Mexico--they don't anymore because there is no to little suitable wilderness habitat for them in those states but a lot of suitable wilderness habitat for them in Montana !!!.
" Yellowstone" is also in Wyoming, yet Taylor Sheridan chose Montana, didn't he ? His new series could have been " Aspen," " Vail," " Durango," or " Santa Fe," and filmed
in Colorado, New Mexico or Utah, yet he didn't. Why ? Montana mystique--all Western states have proud histories and beautiful scenery, Montana just has more of it, the most in The Lower 48. I remember a " Yellowstone" episode where John Dutton ( Kevin Costner) tells his ranch foreman Rip Wheeler ( Cole Hauser) that they have a problem grizzly killing cattle on their ranch, The Yellowstone. The image of wild, huge, ferocious grizzlies roaming the land apoeals to audiences. Yet, that conversation couldn't accurately happen in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon or California because the UM mascot, Montana state animal, and North American apex predator, outside of zoos, no longer lives in any of those states.a lot of truth to what you just said
