Griz Football Product

I am sorry that you feel sad about political reality in Montana. No one who pays attention to the Board of Regents reasonably believes that moving up is a realistic possibility in the foreseeable future.
Can you enlighten me a little on that? It has now been 11 years since I've attended a meeting or paid close attention to BoR meetings, I only really read the minutes if there is some particular issue I care about and skip the rest.

Why would they be stopping the Griz from moving up? I had thought their only requirement was that both teams had to go together.

I don't really want us to move up, but I'd love to be educated more on where the Regents stand on it.

Get back to your steroids.
You’re a pathetic sad old clown of a human desperately trying to escape irrelevance.

A coward hiding behind a keyboard, your unchecked insecurity defines you and everyone see it but you. Seek therapy for the sake of your family.

Watching you get absolutely obliterated on this thread and called out for being the college boy jock sniffing creep that you are is the best thing that’s happened on EGriz in ages.

I don't ever even get touched on egriz. One of the top posters, as various people say. See below. Only idiots coming at me. Your kind of people. You provide nothing. You are mainly a Bobby hater. But none of them are as pathetic of a person as you are.

Again: "Honestly, out of all the posters on the board, you're definitely the most intelligent one out of all of them. Especially when it comes to what is actually going on with the team. I've always appreciated your outlook on all situations because you're going to tell it like it is and it's always based on facts. It's hilarious watching people debate you because these guys don't know jack shit, but they think they know it all. And it's easy to support you on the board, you're one of the only ones along with me who want to see the Griz do well."

You don’t support the team. You purported Beau Donaldson to be innocent which hurts the team just like your posts putting down any area the team could improve.
I said, at the very outset, that I didn't think Donaldson would get hit with it. His lawyer told me that he could have fought the charge if Donaldson had not talked, I think twice, to the cops, without a lawyer. Anyway, long ago, but Donaldson served his time.

You are not a supporter and are just a neggie. I am a supporter. Shall we ask Bobby sometime? What I say about the Griz is correct, or largely correct. I do my research and talk to people who know first. Like coaches, top supporters, the athletic department, parents. You can't point out a single major thing about the current Griz, or improving, that I've been wrong on, in terms of improvement.

I have not put down anything that the team could do to improve. I put down stupid things like fire the coach or certain coaches, which is ridiculous. You are so out of step. Every good poster on the board knows that now.

Than why not be desperate to push it into the new era instead of sitting terrified of trying new things??

That’s the most boomer shit I’ve ever heard.
The point that you seem to miss is that Boomers understand how much there is to lose by bad decisions.

QB - A-. It took him a while to get clicking early on and he's still learning. Huge potential. Just huge.

RB - A. Gillman and big depth. Virtually no fumbles. Some tough yards. Good receivers.

Receivers - B+ or A-. I am torn. Receivers were terrific and fast, but at times I wanted more out of the them. The early season drops got solved.

OL - B+ - Good pocket protection after first part of season. Good run game most of the time. Depth. Honors players.

TE - B+ or A-. I wish we had gotten more pass production from them. Probably not their faults.

DL - B. Depth, but not quite enough top end players. Not their fault.

LB's - A-. Were better when our guys weren't hurt. Good depth.

Corners - A- with Loud. B without him. Too many other injuries hurt too.

Safeties - B+

ST's - B+. Morrison's kicking dropped off. Coverage on KO and punts was good, but could have been better at times. Pibal had a truly amazing career. I met him at a gas station in the Tri-Cities when he was a frosh. He had a Griz sticker on his beat up Jeep or whatever it was, so we talked then (and every season). I introduced him by phone to Guy Bingham, but don't know if they ever got together.

On this post you said that the defensive line didn’t have enough top end players when the Griz had a first team all conference defensive lineman with top end stats. You graded the special teams as only B+ when the Griz kicker Jo Silver was almost perfect on the season and the punt average and coverage combined was among the best in the nation. If that isn’t good enough to earn an A from you than what is?

No, nothing I described was scratching or clawing. Nothing. I suppose some innovations occurred. Challenges? Don't even know what you are talking about.

Some tech. Huge tech. It's driven the Bozeman area economy. It's made alot of people rich, and attracted alot of tech and other people to the area.

Oracle is a small piece of Bozeman tech. There are scores of tech companies in the area. I see an article saying 100 jobs were sent to Texas. That's a drop in the bucket.

Much of what the tech boom brought to the area, including what RightNow Tech (my client that sold to Oracle) brought, was wealth for the early add more senior workers and investors, and for the top people. I made 10X on my investment in a round of its preferred stock. Those with big stock options made a ton of money, some multiple millions. Yes, there were and are also a good number of high-paying jobs. You clearly don't understand the Bozeman tech economy or understand business.

RNT probably gave 3/4 of billion (a guess) of wealth to local people. Many of those people are Cat supporters. It also resulted in multiple new tech companies being started, some of which have done very well. And former RNT employees have gone on to take positions at area tech companies. I worked with these companies for 3.5 decades. Some Silicon Valley investors bought places in the area. Some moved to the area. Some brought other companies or moved headquarters or opened offices for their other companies.

Here's a big company that got to Bozeman. "FICO (legal name: Fair Isaac Corporation) is an American data analytics company based in Bozeman, Montana, focused on credit scoring services." "In 2013, it moved its headquarters to San Jose, California, a year after CEO William Lansing joined. In 2016, it opened an office in Bozeman, Montana, which later became its headquarters." I worked with Will in NYC when he got out of college. In the late 90's, I introduced him to Greg Gianforte, the CEO of RNT, my client. Will went on the board of RNT. He started spending more and more time in the Bozeman area and eventually moved to Bozeman. Great guy and very smart. Has done a great job with Fico.

Intel has invested more than $34 billion into their facilities and brings $10.7 billion in economic impact to Chandler Arizona annually. 3/4 billion is not that much.

Who sent that to you, Player Rep? 😂

Even if it was real, which I’m sure it isn’t, that means nothing. It carries about as much water as trying to get strangers to think you are some kind of high roller because you went to a regular season Suns game.

The point that you seem to miss is that Boomers understand how much there is to lose by bad decisions.
So we just don’t make decisions? Decision paralysis until it’s not your problem and someone else can deal with it? Again. The most boomer mentality possible.

His persona as a big fish in a small pond is tiresome.

Booby is 8 years in, has one conference title and is 2-7 against his biggest rival. What coach not named Booby Hack would still be coaching after that? Was enough to get Ash fired and things seemed to turn out just fine for MSU.

Would love to see someone at Alabama say that going 2-7 against Auburn is no big deal because the QB was first team all conference and they got to go to a bowl game.

I think it is hilarious, I hope he never stops.
He brings up RightNow Technologies which is irrelevant in the grand scheme of the tech sector compared to companies like Intel. The local high school for the Chandler AZ Intel campus also has had more players enter the NFL over the past 13 years than the FCS team he claims to know so much about.

Comparing Bozeman to the Valley of the Sun is a real stretch. Another of your narratives.

The math is simple. Chandler is less than 10x the size of Bozeman and receives more than 10x the economic impact from one company per year than Hoops estimated all tech companies have brought Bozeman all time.

You're right, the math is simple. The Valley of the Sun is 100x the size of Bozeman. Chandler is hardly a separate entity in the area. Keep digging.

Your posts are even more idiotic when you lie to try to make a point that was stupid to begin with. The Phoenix metro area is actually about 40x as big as the Bozeman metro area. A conservative estimation is that Intel, which is only one company, has brought $350 billion to the local economy from their Chandler campus. $350 billion is more than 40x the 3/4 billion for all tech companies combined in Bozeman.

Let’s bring this discussion back to football. Since Hauck’s return in 2018, the Intel campus’s local high school, Hamilton has had 6 guys enter the NFL and UM has had 3. Chandler High School which is Hamilton’s crosstown rival has had 5 players enter the NFL since 2018.

It’s economics. Costs will increase if UM and MSU move up. Revenue from football is limited by the population willing to pay for tickets and stadium capacities. Ticket sales may not remain at current levels if Montana schools lose more games because of tougher competition at the next level. The regents need to fund six institutions that offer four-year degrees and several other two-year institutions. The regents have a lot to balance. The Legislature is extremely conservative and the majority remains upset at the regents because of recent litigation over gun control on campuses, so relying on the Legislature for increased funding would not be advisable. Where will they get the money? Increased tuition and student fees? Bake sales won’t cut it. There is no incentive for regents to stick their neck out to move up and a lot of risk if they do.
