Can't wait

Already looking forward to Nov. 21
I wish I had your optimism but I don't. I think the recruiting class has been good and the transfer class has been really good, but some things aren't changing. Playing in Bozeman, with the same defensive scheme, same co DCs, and same S& C program, I don't feel good about it. Maybe between now and then things will drastically improve and I will change my mind. We will see.

Worry not...I think regardless of scheme this defense looks better than last year...and then there is the offense!!

I love what we are returning and what we are bringing back. I’m glad many have a relentless optimism every time we play the cats. However, after this year, it is clear they got over the hurdle of winning on the road in the brawl and were rewarded with a home playoff run and a national title. Until we can prove that we can exercise those demons in Bozeman, then I can’t pre emptively put any faith into it.

As far as the rest of the year, we should be poised to have a big season. Offense will carry us, but defense needs to be a difference maker.

The sole focus of this offseason for the coaching staff needs to be to devise a plan to win in Bozeman. There's a real possibility that the number one seed will once again be decided in the Brawl. This should be a major point of discussion in the offseason for the coaches. How do we win in Bozeman? What will it take? Because if they do find a way to win that game, then the odds of winning the national championship sky rocket. How badly do you wanna win the natty Bobby? Especially since it's a contract year and there's a lot on the line next year for the future of the program.

If we have to run a hundred trick plays to win the game, then fine. So be it. Next year, you gotta do whatever it takes to get the job done in Bozeman.

We also need to avoid the Even Year Curse that this staff has had as of late.

Since 2018, we're 46-11 (81%) in odd years ('19, '21, '23, '25), but just 23-15 (60%) in even years ('18, '22, '24, excluding the 2020 spring season, obviously) with 5 losses in each season.

If we lose 5 games next season, the calls for regime change will be deafening.

What mom said. Every year, optimism begins in Jan/Feb, builds throughout spring and fall camps, then, almost like clock work we will begin to see/say the same things we have the past ????? how many years?
We need improvement on the O and D lines. Can we win in Bozangeles? Can we make the semis? Do we have a shot? Can we stop anyone on third and long? Etc. Etc. Same song and dance every year. Yes, we'll have a good team. Yes, we'll win a bunch of games. Yes, I'll be there screaming at several of them. Yes, we'll be fun to watch - -until we aren't. I'll keep my optimism in check, but remain eternally hopeful.
(Losing to the scum and having to cancel the room in Nashville left a deep wound)

Go Griz!

And justified.

The Eagles and Chiefs, last year's Superbowl teams are both out of the playoffs this year. Virtually same rosters with same stars on both sides of the ball. You guys give the sCats way too much credit. If the Griz play mistake free ball, like a certain team from Indiana, they win both games this year. That should be the goal. If I was Bobby, I'd have Cignetti fly fishing at Jones' pond all summer.
