Kyon Loud was offered $150k to go to Fresno. $300k from TCU

Weber lost Jack Kelly and Isaiah Glasker to BYU when their head coach left. Jack Kelly is a projected 2nd round LB and Glasker looks like he will be drafted in 2027. That Weber team was cooking.

If you're talking judges, i had Odlin who i hated at the time but he saved my life. Gave me 3 deferred and after i screwed that up, he gave me 4 at Deer lodge w/ a boot camp option while it was still up the Swan. Boot camp most certainly saved my life. After graduation he gave me my 3 deferred back which my PO said never happens. I learned later that he could see i was a good kid with the wrong crowd and needed some shock treatment.

My dad used to run the boiler at the old Deer Lodge Prison, and helped build the new(er) one...that's as close as I got to prison.

He was there the night in 1959 when the prisoners rioted and the National Guard took out that window with the bazooka. Crazy shit.

That is wild that your dad was there then. I bet that was crazy. Luckily i never had to step foot in there. The boot camp was taking its last class 3 weeks after i got sentenced and then they were shutting it down to relocate it outside Deer Lodge. Normally people had to go to Prison and wait for an opening which would take 6-8 months. Somehow someway they let me sit my 3 weeks in the old Msla county and then i went straight to Boot camp. Nintyseven days later i was in the Great Fslls prerelease and lived there for about 5 months. Then i got my deferred back and got to go home. I definitely know someone was looking out for me then. Theres no telling where the path i was on was gonna lead me but that detour saved my life.

I wouldn't say it never happens, but it's extremely rare. Seems to be a good call on Odlin's part. People have a tendency to forget that ANYONE can get in trouble for anything on any given day. It takes one lapse of judgement at the wrong time in the wrong place. I have seen it happen a lot. It's all too easy to make that one mistake, especially when drugs or alcohol are involved. That job caused me to pretty much stay home, stay away from the public, stop drinking, I just saw too many good people go down for dumb things, and god help you if you get on the wrong side of a LEO, County attorney or Judge, your life will be all but over.

Anyway glad to hear your doing well!

For me it was your typical "hanging out with the wrong crowd" story. I was 18 and no direction in life. I definitely understand kids makin dumb choices and I'm usually one of the first on here to say "hold on, lets wait for the rest of the story before we crucify the kid". But yes and thank you, 30 years later and far more responsible choices than irresponsible now has led me to a good happy life.

I wonder what Judge Odlin would say about your spending so much time on eGriz? Seems to me you’re still hanging with the wrong crowd.

I just hope his family was able to read the fine print that if he gets injured, he gets nothing. While these kids are getting paid, it's far from the NFL where players are protected if something were to happen to them. Don't get me wrong, I wish all the best for Kyon and his family and I hope it all works out for him.

The Fresno offer of $150k is a solid source with first hand information. Kyon's $300k offer with TCU came from the Fresno source. I assume he was told TCU's offer by Kyon's camp.
