I’m 31 for a data point of someone who doesn’t mind it. Most fans who seem really bothered by it are Boomers. No need for anyone to rip, you make a valid point. I too am an MSU alumnus & have been on board since 1981. IYou and I and others are from a different era/culture. I remember my grandfather just loathing rock and roll lyrics from the late 60's & 70's and I'd just laugh at him. Today's lyrics would kill him. Some kill me. Numbers don't make it right - but it is accepted in today's culture. I too have friends who think it's a bit over the top, but I've yet to hear a younger person agree. There's a story about this on Bobcat Nation complete with interviews on origin and how it affects players, fans, etal. It would be interesting to see the ages of egriz posters who don't like it. I doubt this genie will get put back into the bottle, so for me I just roll with it. I promise I've never chanted it at a game (I mostly watch on tv) or anywhere else. But if Griz fans had a similar victory song it wouldn't get my hackles up.
