FTC

FTC is an acronym, not a chant. And it is not chanted.
Cowboy is too dumb to know this. I have never been to any Griz wedding where the Cats or anything relataed to the Cats came up. I have been to about 5Cat weddings in recent history, and the ESG chant was done at every one of them.

Worry about things that matter like beating the cats.

As retaliation, my 3rd grade brain wants to sing F-M-S-U to the song YMCA but then my adult brain takes over and says NO, just NO YOU’RE BETTER THAN THAT!

100%, that would make too much sense tho.

Worrying more about cat fans behavior than the Grizzlies product on the field has gone on for years over here. 😂
Most Griz fans are concerned about multiple things. It’s not one thing over another. One can be concerned about 10 things at a time. Commenting about Cat glitches and goof ups including behavior is mostly making fun of them not worrying about them.

Why do you post on egriz? Maybe you should worry about that.

Why are there so many stupid posts on egriz? From the likes of you?

Your best post ever! Despite the spelling of related....

It’s a song. I always laugh when I hear it at games against teams other than the Griz because we are living rent free in their heads. It doesn’t bother me at all. If you are bothered by a song/chant by college students, you are probably soft.

The song doesn't bother me. It is a rivalry. There are some meathead fans on both sides. Most on both sides just have fun with it.
It doesn’t bother me either, but it and where it appears tells me a lot about those Cat fans. Comes up in too many inappropriate places. That is one of the reasons the Cats won’t win today.

Oh yeah, I can see your point now. Completely legitimizes Griz fans not rooting for MT scholarship kids who have zero to do with it. We have a new term here, Griz Logic. 'Those fans swore and made fun of us so we're going to hate that university & the fans & Bozeman & the coaches and everything associated with them!" The vagisil's in isle 11 near the clean up spot Hooked.
Tell me about all the cats fans who rooted for the Griz in the chipper in 2023. I’ll wait…..we can bring up bobcat nation posts on it here. FTC all day every day. You weirdos are over here on our board on your national championship day. Show me on the doll where Bobby hurt you.

Cats will win tonight. It will be closer than 10.5 though.

I'm an MSU alumnus and all in favor of supporting our team all the way to winning the championship, but I can completely understand why Griz fans have grown weary of and hostile to the chant. I and many of the Cat fans I personally know do not think "it's fun." Not sure if anything can be done about it, but it's one aspect of the MSU side of the rivalry that doesn't inspire pride. (Incidentally, "this certainly isn't just a Cat thing" is an ad populum argument: numbers don't make it right.)

Go ahead and and rip me apart now.
No need for anyone to rip, you make a valid point. I too am an MSU alumnus & have been on board since 1981. IYou and I and others are from a different era/culture. I remember my grandfather just loathing rock and roll lyrics from the late 60's & 70's and I'd just laugh at him. Today's lyrics would kill him. Some kill me. Numbers don't make it right - but it is accepted in today's culture. I too have friends who think it's a bit over the top, but I've yet to hear a younger person agree. There's a story about this on Bobcat Nation complete with interviews on origin and how it affects players, fans, etal. It would be interesting to see the ages of egriz posters who don't like it. I doubt this genie will get put back into the bottle, so for me I just roll with it. I promise I've never chanted it at a game (I mostly watch on tv) or anywhere else. But if Griz fans had a similar victory song it wouldn't get my hackles up.
