The Portal, the Tranfers, NIL, and maintaining sanity

I think your main issue is thinking that a commitment for a player is more than 1 year, and in the current landscape it's not. A player should give it his everything for that year, but it is now a year to year proposition as to where he gives his everything. This is the flaw with your rant.

You make a valid point. I need to think about this.

The University of Georgia is turning NIL on its head. It is suing a former player, who signed a $500,000 NIL deal. The player left after only receiving $30,000, yet the school is suing the player for $390,000 for failure to live up to the contract. Who knows what will happen, but if Georgia wins it will change NIL overnight and stop many kids from jumping.

Interesting. Thanks for providing this!
