The Season - Don't disrespect them, praise them

The team did not meet any of their football performance goals. In real life, you don't get praised for failing to meet expectations.
They met most of the their own goals and have noted they had a terrific season, loved the season, and liked the coaches. Want that to be know and their hard work and fighting spirit to be known and remembered. Can't you read?

agree...I think this was a very talented team but will be remembered to the lost to
the Cats repeat...they were a very good but not good enough to make Griz history.
.its unfortunate but only winners are rewarded...Hauck will be the only Griz coach to
lose to Cats twice in one year...he could have sealed his legacy beating the Cats and
winning the NC.. victors are remembered.

We all been there if you played the game..
only winners are really remembered not how close games were played or how hard
you played..
What type of fan would remember the Cat losses over the rest of the season? What about the other 13 wins. Making it to the semis. Have a fun and enjoyable season. Big attendance and excitement in the stadium. My god, what is wrong with some of you people.

I can guarantee that Bobby wasn't satisfied with the season.

Kirby Smart:

"Smart dropped a pair of outright blasts in recent weeks. Smart has been rather explicit about the modern college football world. In a press conference after Georgia's win over Texas, Smart said, "We build our core culture around being the more physical team. A lof of these kids want a check. They don't want physicality."

"On the Monday following that Texas game, Smart dropped a great line about players who choose to leave his program. "We schedule them," he admitted. "The ones that want to leave, we schedule them. We try to get them on the schedule, because when they want to leave, because they're not physical, that means they're probably going to a place that's not physical." After discussing the topic in more depth, Smart noted,, "You run from hard in life, you'll find more hard."

SI.

Most fans would because it’s the big rivalry game and most fans look at football from an emotional perspective rather than an analytical perspective which clouds their judgement. They are thinking emotionally by how much it hurt to lose to our rivals twice rather than thinking analytically and seeing it was still a good season.

Ouch.

But no thats not true. You can celebrate the wins on the field while still acknowledging the shortfalls you had. But if you dwell on the shortfalls you make an angry depressed person.

Because this was the first time we've played twice and thus the first time 2 losses in a season happened I can see remembering this season partially for that. But your absolutely right about dwelling on this season as only the outcome of those two games. Literally the only team the geiz lost two and have a qb that may go down as one of the best ever. Didn't I read offseason threads this year or last about complaining about transfer qb's and other schools having 3 and 4 hear starters. And literally the griz have that and fans want to remember this season for the negatives.

You’re never gonna get anything positive out of Frank. Or any other Missoula media for that matter…
Why do you think that is, why would some of othe local media be against instead of promote the team?.. C.Nuanez, F. Neighbor, Frank G all have been accused of being against the grizzlies.. why how/are they?

Then, they are being stupid and don't understand football. Why not enjoy the many good things? Some of these "fans" need to find another hobby or another team. Fandom is too hard on them. No team has a perfect season every year. Again, 13 wins, semifinals, probably will end up ranked 3d in the nation. The players say they had a wonderful time, enjoyed the season and the coaches, and gave it their all. Why do some "fans" think their feelings, reactions, and desires are more important than the team's? I keep asking myself: "Who the F do these "fans" think they are?"

Because deep inside, they don't understand football and don't like Bobby. They think their job is more important than Bobby's. This doesn't apply to Colter. He's now on my S-List, and I'm not going to support him anymore, but I still like him and won't paint him with the likes of those 2 clowns.

Because Bobby is a smug, condescending prick to the media and lacks any transparency.

It’s a totally unforced error for absolutely no reason that accomplishes nothing.

You’re speaking from the position of someone who has played the game and understands it on a deeper level than most people. The majority of people who have not played the game at college level or higher think differently than you and are thinking with their feelings/emotions instead of looking at the big picture. That doesn’t make them stupid or bad fans or that they don’t understand football at all. It is just more difficult to look at the big picture.

Perhaps not to you, but it does to me. I don't like them and they don't like me. Even.

This says all you need to know about your point. To be fair, he is a lot better now than he was the first era with the media.

I'm curious...what goals did they meet?
