I heard from some player parents his girl friend was vocal in the stands during the season about her desire of him to go get the most NIL available in the portal. It doesn't sound like she'll be missed. By all accounts he's a good dude, but not irreplaceable.
 
You know who you usually don’t see entering portal ? Montana high school kids that earn all-conference awards playing for Griz or Cats. Another reason winning the in state recruiting of top level kids is a must do. Although the Griz have not had many examples of players that could have gone chasing the NIL/FBS but didn’t (like Junior coming back his final season despite offers), cats have had a lot of Montana kids get opportunities to go but they stay. Not saying we should sign inferior players due to them just being from Montana, but the top level Montana kids each year are crucial.

You know who else don't enter the portal as often? International players.

His stock would also grow with a healthy year. He needs to show he can stay on the field.
