A brief look at our 26 schedule:
August 29 vs. Southern Utah - The T-Birds are in for a rude awakening in their return to the Big Sky. They've been benefitting from playing in the soft ass UAC the past 4 years. Welcome back lol
September 5 vs. Drake - They've won the Pioneer League the last 3 years but this should be an easy win for the boys.
September 12 vs. Utah Tech - Griz have kicked the shit out of them the last 2 times we've faced them. I expect this to be an easy win.
September 19 @ Oregon State - Definitely not the toughest FBS opponent in the world, but also not the easiest. If OSU is as bad as they were this year, then I think the Griz could pull the upset, but there's no way they're gonna be as bad as they were this year. They were abysmal. Probably gonna be tough to win, but they need to keep it close.
September 26 @ UC Davis - This is a very important game. If we want this team and this program to get over the hump and actually be able to reach the natty, then this is a game you have to have. It will be a tough game. Pinnick is damn good, but they've had a little portal movement so far and a great team would be able to go on the road and win a game like this.
October 3 vs. Northern Colorado - Could be a get right game or keep on keeping on game. Hopefully the latter.
October 10 @ Northern Arizona - Again, another road game that a great team would be able to win. With Ty Pennington graduating, you shouldn't have any problems winning there next year. No trap games if you wanna compete for a natty.
October 17 vs. Idaho - Thomas Ford is overhauling his staff after a pretty rocky first year. I don't think they'll be leaps and bounds better next year, but they should be improved. The game is at home though so you shouldn't have any issues.
October 24 BYE. Hallelujah! A normal bye week!
October 31 @ Eastern Washington - Games against these guys will always be tight on the red rug, but again I sound like a broken record, a great team would not lose this game. Are we a great team?
November 7 vs. Portland State - New look Viks should make for an easy win.
November 14 vs. Idaho State - Kind of a spicy game the week before the Brawl. Is Cooke back next year? I don't even know.
November 21 @ Montana State - What's the plan? How do they find a way to start winning in Bozeman? It needs to be the major focal point of the offseason. How do you go on the road and win this game? Figure it out.
A difficult, but opportunistic schedule next year. If you win at Davis on 9/26, then you put yourself in a great position to be rolling by the time they go to Bozeman.
