As for the game. I’ve suggested for many years. Griz Nation’s overconfidence is only is an exceeded Only by its arrogance. Griz Nation is metered on 1985-2002. That shit ended today. IT IS OVER.

Hats off to the Griz this year. It was sincerely a great team. There are some great kids on that team. Ah Yat, Wortham, Loud, etc etc.

I mean this. Your problem is Bobby Hauck. I get his insatiable hatred for the Cats. But he is killing your program. His instate recruiting is f*cked, certaintly after today.

Today marked a complete reset of this rivalry.
It truly is a reckoning.

You mean your in-state recruit at QB? Don’t act like the Cats don’t have to do the same thing the Griz have to, it’s literally the future of all football given NIL.

The future does belong to the Cats, I agree with that. Don’t mess it up on January 5th.

Is PlayerRep/Mthoops ok right now? Only a serious health event or a devastating blow to his ego could keep him from posting after the 12/20 game.

His resentment of Cat fans is only matched by his disdain for all Griz fans who dare try to question Bobby. I’m sure he will have some awesome excuse (eg “I talked to a coach” or “ you don’t know the game as well as I do”) response whenever he has the sack to reappear on this excellent forum.

Just stop it. Of course every team has to deal with the NIL, but the cats’ dominance and continued superior development of in state recruits provides them with depth that we simply cannot match.

For example, 8 of the top 10 in-state recruits last year committed to MSU. That is absolutely never going to cut it.

It will likely get worse going forward.
 
What is more valuable in life after football? An engineering degree or a journalism degree. That might be a better answer for your in state recruitment argument.

Yes, U of M doesn’t have engineering. Do you think the kids from the state view MSU and engineering more valuable than U OF M and journalism? That’s the point, its not about where you play football, its about life after football.

He doesn't resent Cat fans. I don't know if you know what that means. I think what you meant to use was disdain in both fanbase statements. But I don't think he disdains Cat fans anyways. Him and I get along.

This is just silly. Most students at msu have nothing to do with engineering. They’re there to go skiing or cosplay ‘Yellowstone.’ And if you think that an engineering degree inherently pays more than a liberal arts degree you are a fool. My brother has a civil engineering degree from bozeman and had to go back and get a coding certificate to get a decent job. We also have an msu engineering degree holder renting our attic this winter. He is a ski patroller. I have a History degree from UM and make significantly more than both of them.

You can find individual examples like that at UM too. I think the point is that STEM seems the direction many young people are choosing.

Woah, all I’m saying is people choose things for different reasons not based on other people’s wishes or desires. Not crapping on anyone’s degrees or life choices. Maybe being a ski bum or cos playing Yellowstone is what they want to do when they are young, or forever. Lots of incredibly successful people without any degrees at all, drive and desire plays a big part in that.
