Semifinal game tix

Saw my neighbor last night. It was so awkward as we have been trying to avoid each other this week but kids’ bball made it inevitable.

He was a little more on edge than normal which is saying something as the dude makes coffee nervous. He was so pissed at MSdui and the ticket fiasco.

For the last game, he did not get his season ticket seats because he usually clicks on a button at the beginning of the playoffs which requests those seats for all playoff games. However, this year they changed that, he was supposed to request them individually, and the system tricked him (he’s a graduate of MSdui so not hard to do) and he only got the first game but not the second.

Then, he requested his 8 extra tickets for the Super Brawl but did not get any of those. He’s been a season ticket holder in the same 4 seats for 26 years. He said he has 26 “points” built up but it was still not enough. He is convinced the system was rigged to give only the richest fans, those with huge allotments of seats or suites, first dibs, and ignored the point system.

I’ve heard this twice now as another bub, who I would consider a “higher up”, said he requested all 8 but only got one SRO.

Thus, it’s even worse than we thought. Not only was there no public offering, but only the elite of the elite got a chance, and likely got more than the rest. This is consistent with the two idiots bragging on here. Ihatethecats said he got his 8 extras and he bragged about having like 20 season tickets and a suite. Similarly, that big dummy, bubcat99, said he got his 8 and he’s got a big lot of tix too.

Meanwhile, the hardworking folks, salt of the earth fans, are left out in the cold as the 1-percenters give pinky high fives to their California muckitymucks. Such a shame.
OMG the humanity, those awful people in bozeman that keep us all from having nice things.

I know you're just doing a bit, but what a load of shit lol. What would I know though? Not like I have season tickets or anything...

100% factual and you know it. What do you think was untrue?

You trolls are unbelievably psychotic. Obviously your whole existence is one big lie. It’s so creepy. Like texting a serial killer

Are you going to cry?
Sorry I ruined your two decade ruse. You had to know it would end sooner or later tho, right?
Maybe you can find a better outlet or hobby for your own mental health. Possibly get a pet? Walking a dog would probably do you wonders. You could tell him all your garbage and he would love you for it

First, I didn't have to do anything different than I normally do to reserve my season tickets for the playoffs. So you're wrong there.

Second, you're wrong on how the points work. I don't think it's even possible to have as few as 26 points. Maximum amount of points is something in the 4000's. So you're wrong there.

Third, your friend with 4 tickets for 26 years has 26 points, which isn't possible, and your other friend who is "higher up" only got 1 SRO? What do you mean by higher up? Has more season tickets? Gives more money? I don't buy it. I'm not a booster, don't give any money to anything other than season tickets. I'm not a high profile fan by any means. My group and I have 9 season tickets, and I'm in the 400's for points, and I got all 8 of my requested extra tickets (all SRO). So yeah, your story is bogus.

Now, I may raise a pinky when I drink to be fancy, but I'll guarandamntee you I've shoveled more shit in my lifetime than even you can spew.

Oh good. Thanks for confirming what we all already believed—that MSdui is employing shady practices to lock out the average fan. The point system sounds even more crooked than I thought. Glad The Griz are classy and would never pull this crap on its fans. No wonder my neighbor was having a conniption fit. I would too.

I know! Can you imagine if UM actually had a system where contributors got access to better seats, or even first access to tickets? I mean, completely preposterous! Just imagine if the more you paid meant better seats. Truly just enabling the rich. I'm so glad to hear that the University of Montana would never, ever, employ such practices.

Yeah because that’s the same as canceling the public offering. Jeesh. UM does what every other school does while MSdui is the first team in history to pull its crap. Why are you still trying to defend it? Just give up. You’re the only one left. Every other bub fan I have talked to agrees it was not cool.
Good grief dude. I realize your avatar is new around here (and you’re probably on your umpteenth screen name) but you really suck at this. Probably worse than some of the other long time trolls who have at least earned some cred over their decades of trolling. Maybe take a few posts off and rethink your approach (to life).
This is like the other day when you tried to say veggie’s deal at OSU/WSU was a “dealbreaker” even tho he never had a deal and would not get a deal. It’s nonsense. Everything you say is just plain dumb

Middle ankle mid foot whatever. You are trying to say it was turf toe.
This seems like a weird thing to get on people about when numerous outlets across the FCS reported/speculated for months that he had turf toe. It's not like Griz fans just made this up.

I agree I thought it was turf toe until he went on a show and said mid foot sprain. Which both are similar but mid foot sprain is the whole foot not just the big toe ligaments

Looks like he was injured for months which probably includes when he scooped out the turds at the litterbox 🤷🏼‍♂️.

There's going to be a ton of fans who want to go to the game who can't, and most of it isn't because of scalpers. There's probably 40-50k people who want to go to a stadium that fits 21-22k. I have no respect for the scalpers either, but they would be there regardless of how MSU distributed the tickets. Some people are just going to be out to make a quick buck. It happened when we played in Missoula earlier this year too, obviously not to the same extreme, but different stakes at hand and less capacity will do that.
Once upon a time UM used to be the same way. Then came the leanish years. Now you get 22K instead of 27K. Granted people will say we have never filled the stands in the playoffs, and that is true-is. there have been 2-3 games where the stands were at capacity.

I have to say, I was one of the "expand Washington Grizzly until the seats stop filling" person.

Then I moved to Huntington WV. When Marshall was at its peak in the MAC, Marshall, thinking the same thing, expanded to 38K seats.

During the MAC and Conference USA years (before I moved here... I was still in Missoula) Marshall regularly seated between 28k-33K fans.

Then they moved to the Sunbelt. average attendance has been 16K-20K and the only reason they would have 20K is because of JMU and Coastal Carolina.

So you have a stadium that can seat 38K+ but average attendance over the last five years has been 20K.

I think it's a very bad idea to expand beyond where you are now. Okay maybe add another 3k-5k seats, but then call it good. It's not a good look when it's the playoffs and the stands aren't full ala Wa-Griz. As much as I hate to say it, MSU looks much better represented with the stands full at 22K.

Makes me regret that vote to expand the stadium in a different life.

What?!? Why do bubs just say such stupid shit?
Dudes can get twice as many tix for a game that is more than double normal demand. The most expensive and exclusive seat in the country. Both prices and demand are through the roof. Motivation for scalping has never been higher or more available.
They never “requested” twice as many before. Suddenly, they have the ability to pay for their season tix while still getting their requested amount.
It’s the good ole boys club taken to the extreme. Only way locals get in is if they beg.
It’s the worst form of privatization I’ve ever seen.
I call it BobCorp.
