Hike Out

This is spot on. He is a good athlete which will generate some interest from the NFL, possibly from a team like the Raiders in another Trashcan Tommy attempt but he is not a serious NFL qb prospect.
I had to coach the boys' hoops tournaments last weekend so wasn't at the game, but from all accounts ive heard, his arm strength and general qb was elite. Not totsure in the NFL prospects

His size and arm strength are elite but there are questions about his mechanics especially footwork being consistent as well as his decision making speed in high pressure situations which we saw on full display last weekend. I think that is why he is being looked at as a developmental project possibly at qb possibly at another position like Trashcan Tommy instead of a serious qb prospect.

That makes sense. What i was able to see on TV that all checks out regarding mechanics etc 👍

No team is spending time “developing” a practice squad QB. There are literally DOZENS of QB’s out there better than Mason stocking shelves in grocery stores.

Plenty of teams are doing just that. The Raiders are doing that with Cam Miller for an example from the FCS. It depends what your definition of better is. There are not dozens of QB’s out there with a higher ceiling stocking groceries and the vast majority of coaches in the NFL are narcissistic enough to think they are the guy who can develop the qb into reaching their ceiling.

How does he compare to Philip Rivers?

Some of you seem to think you're on a path to NFL GMdom.
Phillip Rivers and Chase Mason couldn’t be closer to polar opposites besides both having elite arm strength and size. Even in his prime Philip Rivers didn’t have the dual threat ability that Chase Mason has but in every other facet besides dual threat, size and arm strength which they are both elite Philip Rivers is by far and away better on qb intangibles. Processing speed, mechanics, accuracy, leadership and experience it is night and day different and laughable to compare.

Yep, one will be in the NFL and the other won't. Mason is the best QB in the FSC.
And this Griz team, who you claim sucks, has awful coaches, schemes, and players…beat his ass real bad. Now you’ve created quite a conundrum for yourself. So you’re admitting this team, coaches, and players must be pretty damn good. Glad you came around!
