My apologies. I thought it was an obvious joke, but the sarcasm didn't filter through well.Maybe don't insinuate you will then.

My begrudging respect for your program is the best you're going to get out of me.OR, you could just become a Griz fan.
If MSU Athetics thinks interest in the game is so poor that each season ticket holder can have eight extra tickets, then I think we'll be OK.We have a very strong team Coyote Team coming to town on Saturday. Montana State has a good SFA team coming to Bozeman. I don't want to dismiss the games that lie ahead, but IF both teams win, I have a question/comment:
I really hope to go to this game if it indeed happens, but seems like it may be tougher and pricier than what I'd hope for...
- I've heard that we would get an allotment of tickets. I assume those tickets would need to be purchased through Griz Tix whenever they may be released?
- I see cat fans are rightfully planning to purchase surplus tickets (up to 8 additional per season ticket holder it appears) to prevent there from being any extra available tickets for Griz fans to purchase once they are released. Bums me out, but I'd imagine much of Griz nation would attempt to do it similarly if the roles were reversed. I assume there would be a handful of those that don't find a home and they try to sell them out on Stub-Hub for a high price?
I'm not following. You think them offering 8 extra tix instead of the usual 4 extra tix for a potential Cat-griz 2 means they think there will be low interest? If MSU Athetics thinks interest in the game is so poor that each season ticket holder can have eight extra tickets, then I think we'll be OK.
I'd definitely say it is not due to a lack of interest, but rather a tactic to prevent tickets from getting in the hands of Griz fans.If MSU Athetics thinks interest in the game is so poor that each season ticket holder can have eight extra tickets, then I think we'll be OK.
It's allowed for every home game, there's just obviously more reason for fans to do it for this potential game.I'd definitely say it is not due to a lack of interest, but rather a tactic to prevent tickets from getting in the hands of Griz fans.
I've never paid much attention to this part. How many tickets are allotted to the visiting team? I wouldn't think it is much.If this game comes to fruition, we will get the amount allotted to visiting fans by the NCAA and they have to be sold at price fixed by the NCAA. They will sell out. The tickets for the brawl on griztix were going for three times the normal price as fixed by the pacion algorithm that griztix was legally allowed to do. The price started coming down as the game day became closer. What MSU is doing is making sure that non season ticket holding single game tickets go to cat fans. They are protecting their homefield advantage as they should. I believe we had the same thing happen with EWU when they wouldn't sell tickets to Montana zip codes a few years ago.
While I'm sure some people will buy them with altruistic intentions, many will buy them in order to resell them because that's just life. And plenty of people will pay lots of money for them. It is what it is.I've never paid much attention to this part. How many tickets are allotted to the visiting team? I wouldn't think it is much.
As you pointed out this is pretty smart by the university. We can get up to four extra tickets every game of the playoffs as it is. Making it 8 extra instead of 4 extra for every season ticket holder will allow us the opportunity to fill it as much as possible before griz fans have their opportunity to buy.
I'm seeing a push on social media to make all season ticket holders aware of this. The other big talking point is for those that buy the extra 8, to put priority on the FANS before the MONEY. Obviously these tickets could be sold for a lot of money. I saw business owners challenging others to buy up what they can and give the extras as early Christmas presents!
Many of us older guys have bad memories of you bullies buying season tickets in the 90's-00's when the Cats were the shits just for your ticket to the Brawl. We're hoping to do just the opposite on the 20th if we're lucky enough to play again.![]()
I couldn’t find this years guidelines, but last year’s championship only required 500 tickets to be set aside for the visiting team for each round of the playoffs. A minimum of 200 must be purchased. I would think the 500 ticket allotment alone would be sold out between the top boosters and QB club long before it got to GSA members with about 0.0% chance to go to non GSA member season ticket holders and the general public unless they set a low limit like 2-4 which I’m not sure they would. If this game comes to fruition, we will get the amount allotted to visiting fans by the NCAA and they have to be sold at price fixed by the NCAA.
