It felt like there was a lid on the rim today. Just one of those fluky games where nothing goes in. Excited for conference play as well.Ouch. LG starters only 9 of 40 on fg's.
LG playing a tough OOC schedule so I'll be curious to see how they do once in Conference.
I can’t imagine being competitive outside of the big Sky conference was a part of Nate’s plan year 1. We really won’t know how these games shaped our team until March… but our non-conference schedule is gauntlet. I prefer this approach (& how soccer does it) compared to a cupcake non conference schedule. The LG have been blown out in 4 of their last 5 games: Oregon, Washington, SDSU and now Utah. I know it's Nate's first year and he needs time. I do hope he looks to increase the speed and athleticism of the team next year by recruiting both some high school talent and transfer-portal kids from some nearby big cities ( Seattle-Tacoma, SF-Oakland-Bay Area, LA) just like Travis and Bobby because this year's team as evidenced by our nonconference schedule to date is probably not going to be competitive outside of The Big Sky Conference !!!

Drove to the basket over and over the second half. They are shooting 34% from the floor and 29% from 3. Only 20 FG per game. They shoot great from FT, but when you dont attack the basket to draw foul and score you dont shoot many.
Fluky?

Usually resulted in no pointsWhat were the results of those drives? FTs? Layups? Kick out 3s? Made baskets? What was Utahs def game plan? Stats show they made 10 total baskets. 6 of those 3s.
