He's not getting the colorado job.Honestly might be the best move for him to skip OSU/Colorado State. Looks like UC might be open next year

Agree with you on Vigen's part. Vigen would only be making a difficult job even harder. I guess I was more commenting on what Costello might be thinking and that tough choice he might have to make, if Vigen is offered the OSU job.I really cannot disagree with your take, but ponder this. Why would Vigen jeopardize an already challenging start with OSU? He is moving on for bigger dollars and a move to FBS as a head coach. We all love Montana sports and the FCS. It is simply a stepping stone job for the Nevada’s, UNLV’s, CSU’s of the world.
He is an excellent coach. Here's what I'm hoping.... 1) The Griz go into Bozeman in the semis and dish out some payback and beat the Cats to go to Nashville, 2) Vigen accepts the Oregon State job, and 3) Montana goes to Corvallis next fall and beats the newly-led Vigen Oregon State squad haha.
But in all seriousness, Vigen is a very good coach and for all the making fun of him that Griz fans seem to do (which I don't understand), he's done incredible work in his tenure at MSU. I kinda have enjoyed him being their head coach and it honestly gives Montana something to push itself to be better.
As much as I hate that the Cats are having the success that they are having, it has made this rivalry actually good, and it's exactly what this program needs to keep us progressing to be better than them and the Dakotas.
It's the CSU job that's open. Prime isn't going anywhere in spite of his poor season.Colorado?? Would be a big jump... OSU, if they pay more than wazzu was offering last cycle, is a far more likely opportunity for vigen.
I haven't seen a short list of candidates for that opening yet... id imagine OSU is a better opportunity than csu, would be interesting to know the comp package for both. It's the CSU job that's open. Prime isn't going anywhere in spite of his poor season.
No one said he was...this off season. It's the CSU job that's open. Prime isn't going anywhere in spite of his poor season.
Because you don't think he would like to win?Have to question Sixx's commitment and preparation these next two weeks.
Worse for MSU would be speculation about players jumping in the portal to follow him to Oregon State.I could really give a shit about Vigen. I do hope it throws his players for a loop. I know coaches can move on, but to interview right before the playoffs begin, is classless. For any coach. It sends a shitty message about commitment.
Because I think he'll be preoccupied.Because you don't think he would like to win?
Overblown IMOBecause I think he'll be preoccupied.
But I suspect you knew that.
He's already a name for multiple jobs out west:Right?? Eck has been fantastic for that program. I hope he can sustain it.
And he'll lose a lot with that level of talent. He's already a name for multiple jobs out west:
OSU, CAL, CSU
He may be on the way out already, also side note Polasek has also been mentioned for the same jobs Vigen has as well.
In regards to Vigen going to OSU, garunteed he will take both Dowlers, Lamson and maybe even Brott (if he has eligibility) etc.
End of the day coaches are going to want to coach at FBS programs (better $$, exposure etc.) and the same goes with many players. Doesn't matter if the Beavers may struggle next season or not.And he'll lose a lot with that level of talent.
