Embarrassment to the Rivalry

I sat in the west side on around the 40 yard line surrounded by Griz. All adults. A woman in front of me Wearing blue and gold was getting food thrown at her all game. She turned and yelled at a Griz fan to knock it off....unfortunately it was not the right guy. They yelled at each other for awhile and then everyone around her started calling her all kinds of names..."stupid bitch" being the nicest. After Lamson kneeled to seal the win, I leaned over and talked to her a bit. I told her she should have just picked up the food still in the container and ate it yelling thank you. As I was talking to her a full water bottle hit me in the head and knocked my hat off. Sure didn't feel good. Turned around to see who did it and not one person would point out the culprit. I looked up and laughed at all the Griz folks and said they were gutless for not fessing up. No eye contact by any of them. I was pretty shocked. I expect college aged kids to behave this way on both sides but not 50+ aged fans. So if you are the one who threw the water bottle and are willing to admit it please let me know and we can settle this soon.
If she got hit with food it’s because our fans throw around twinkies and ding dongs after we score 😂. We get hit with them all the time! I had cats fans in my section and they were treated great and had a blast. I think you’re full of shit.

Nothing says tough like Taco going up to the student section with an officer on his side and yelling at the students knowing full well they can’t come down or do anything in retort. Only time I’ve seen the highway patrol officer usher a player back to his team because he knew tacos mouth was writing checks his body was going to have to cash if shit went sideways.
In his defense, he probably thought one of those students stole his other pant leg and was hoping to get it back 😂

Good player, but such a weird look.

What's with these people on egriz and the internet who just make up stuff and tell lies? Do they not realize that many of us can almost always spot the lying?

The chip on the shoulder from the streak is now part of their culture.
One of the more obnoxious Cat fans said exactly this to one of the my Griz friends. Said we as Griz fans just can't understand how that feels. So I guess I get it as best I can. Still doesn't make up for being insufferable clowns. I am also under no illusion that we don't have a few on our side, too.

I respect Vigen and think he is a class guy. He needs to look at some of his staff, though. I believe it was DB coach Trenton Green, who, as soon as the clock hit zero, sprinted across the field to the east stands to talk shit to the fans. Not surprisingly, most of his DB room joined him. Watch the video!

it's funny.....there's a similar thread to this on BN from 2015....the last time UM won in Bozeman. Lots of upset people when their team loses a rivalry game and the opposition lets them know about it.

Wow, your fans have some nasty mouths, the DB's were just waving and blowing kisses to your fans,

Nothing will get done unless President Tessman, Leon Costello, and Brent Vigen are bombarded PUBLICLY with emails and phone calls. We all know how they sweep shit under the rug over there. The Board of Regents members need to be in the loop as well as Clay Christian, the Commish.

Bad look there. But he'd probably been drinking more all game than the students

I have no problem with the actions I see in this video or the actions by the DB coach. He's done a great job coaching and the players took it up.

Nothing like a little rivalry loss to turn some Griz fans into certified Karens… give me a break. College dudes beating their chest at rival fans after a huge win- color me shocked.

We want to act like our fans and players are somehow above juvenile rivalry antics, but fact is both sides are the same and have a small minority that do stupid shit.
Couldn't say it better myself.

(n)Leave your Griz credentials at the door on your way out, Minnesota Hunter.

Did you see the amount of debris thrown at them from the NE section of WGS? Look at the video Mr. Obvious. An everyday event? No. I have NEVER seen that type of reaction from Griz fans, NEVER! And I was a NEZ season ticket holder. I'd say your opinion would be in the minority, about 500 - 1, minimum. What the scat players and coach(es) did was low class, gutter behavior. As the stairs to the field are blocked post game, until the players have had time to leave, I'm surprised there wasn't an 'over the rails' attempt, but their players ARE wearing gear, while the fans were NOT.

I have seen this type of behavior after we beat the scats in Bozoland in close games. Beat the scats and this doesn't happen. Next, whoever has this video should email it to the Griz FB athletics office. The next time we play the scats, the Griz should have the video running on loop in the meeting rooms, locker rooms, and gathering areas.

Didn't Colter call out Griz fans a couple years ago for throwing trash out onto the field? That wasn't even Cat/griz.
