Embarrassment to the Rivalry

What a bunch of whinny babies, haha. Everett griz, billingsgriz, and mthoops, wow where to begin. Everett we know you’re a sympathizer, but billingsgriz aren’t you a counselor or something? Would your clientele appreciate you calling another fan base douchbags? Good coping skills there bud. Mthoops you are just a sad old man, feel bad for you and all the people you think are your friends. They just feel obligated due to your disposition. Where were the almighty Griz fans, when Hauck flipped off the bobcat crowd or grabbed his nephew’s hat at a family bbq and pissed on it? Seems hypocritical to me, and shit happens, get over it. Bobcat players jerking off towards the crowd is unacceptable and if I was a coach I would have said something to them. However to call that a reflection of the over 100 players and coaches, is lazy and really shows the desperation of some keyboard warriors.

I respect that you tried to step in and tried to deescalate the situation.. thank you for at least trying.... I agree 1000% wih your last sentence..again thank you!!!
With those situations it actually worked. They are still in conversations with me this morning. May have to get another phone

That was an awful look for the msu program.

And I don’t blame the players. They’re just idiots whose frontal lobes haven’t formed. But where the fuck was the coaching staff?? I get the culture of the staff over there and how they were probably drinking by then, but that was an embarrassment.
Oh Karen keep a a tight clutch on those pearls and preach it.

Agree with most of what you said. Coach Hauck was reprimanded and had a very public addressing in Missoula to address conduct when rehired.. Keep that in mind

Justifying the behavior encourages it. I’d expect
You’d know that. Either side.
Agree, and we've lost civility in most aspects of conversation & society. But why is it that this discussion originates from the losing side? Cats too. It's a step short of making excuses for the loss. We lost because....fill in the blank. The Griz lost because the Cats were better yesterday. I like Benjamin Franklin. He said "He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else"

The problem is that the behavior by the scats during the game, one personal foul by Eiden, where he ripped Monte Gillman's helmet off and then tried to claim to be a victim, and should have been four more called, and after the game, spoils what was a great game and great win. I've always had respect for Vigen but after today's game, he's lost my respect.

I didn’t mind both sides completing plays to the sideline, or the chirping back and forth. There was some reactionary stuff that could have and should have been called.

I sat in the west side on around the 40 yard line surrounded by Griz. All adults. A woman in front of me Wearing blue and gold was getting food thrown at her all game. She turned and yelled at a Griz fan to knock it off....unfortunately it was not the right guy. They yelled at each other for awhile and then everyone around her started calling her all kinds of names..."stupid bitch" being the nicest. After Lamson kneeled to seal the win, I leaned over and talked to her a bit. I told her she should have just picked up the food still in the container and ate it yelling thank you. As I was talking to her a full water bottle hit me in the head and knocked my hat off. Sure didn't feel good. Turned around to see who did it and not one person would point out the culprit. I looked up and laughed at all the Griz folks and said they were gutless for not fessing up. No eye contact by any of them. I was pretty shocked. I expect college aged kids to behave this way on both sides but not 50+ aged fans. So if you are the one who threw the water bottle and are willing to admit it please let me know and we can settle this soon.

Do you video evidence that you can share?

I understand that emotions run high before, during and after this game. Fans on both sides are guilty of over-the-top behavior. But I want to describe the actions of three Bobcat players after the game.

As time ran out and the rest of their team was running toward the Great Divide Trophy, three Bobcat players ran to the Northeast side of the stadium and started taunting the fans. This went on for at least two minutes. At which point, they started heading back to join their teammates, but then couldn't help themselves and came back again. They continued jeering and then #0 started simulating that he was jerking off. At this point, fans in the stadium unfortunately started throwing water bottles toward the players and one of the Griz assistant coaches shoved one of the Cat players trying to get them to head back with their team. Finally, a Bobcat assistant coach came over and herded the players away.

This kind of behavior not only reflects poorly on the Bobcat football team and Montana State University, but the entire Rivalry. Unsportsmanlike conduct on full display. I can only hope that in the past and next time the Griz win in Bobcat Stadium our players have more class than that.
You sound a little butt hurt by some kids, go back and look at the history of some of the grizzly players, ha

Both sides do it so whatever. The thing I hate is that when someone gets called out for behavior they cop out and justify it with the "they did it to". And even then, there is probably a line that shouldn't be crossed, so don't be that guy.
Not disagreeing with this point. I remember being pissed at NDSU last year for knocking over members of the SOTW band on their way to the pedestal. Talking shit to our side and to the band the whole way. Busted up an instrument that cost those assholes a $4000 lawsuit. But you know what? Cats lost. We had to deal with all the shit, including from this place. Still dealing with it. It happens to teams that lose.

We went to the natty when the Griz played the Bison. My wife is a Griz. A drunk NDSU fan blocked her from using the port a potty so another Bison could go in front of her. She was there first. I was not with her at the time but other than that everyone got along ok. I was ticked and asked her to take me back to the area so I could possible find the guy who put his hand on my wife. She was adamantly against me seeking revenge and wouldn't agree to it. Good thing for me as I would have probably overreacted. I heard lots of people had some poor interactions with the dakota fans but I heard more positive than negative. The incident yesterday and the this one in Frisco are the only two negative sportsmanship I've encountered personally since graduating in "89 from MSU. I've walked into Stockman's many times over the years after games and got friendly ribbing and jokes only. Maybe because we lost each one in those days....

You guys are soft as shit. I got flipped off all game, your “DJ” sprayed me and other cats fans with his dry ice gun, and got a lot of shit talk. I don’t care because it’s a rivalry. Who gives a fuck what a 19 year old did when he won the biggest game he has ever played in. I watched Taco and co run over to the student section and mock them while ur students threw multiple things at them. WHO CARES its a damn rivalry, keep it fun.
