Embarrassment to the Rivalry

Nothing like a little rivalry loss to turn some Griz fans into certified Karens… give me a break. College dudes beating their chest at rival fans after a huge win- color me shocked.

We want to act like our fans and players are somehow above juvenile rivalry antics, but fact is both sides are the same and have a small minority that do stupid shit.

Nothing makes me happier than this unbelievable Bobcat win in WA gris! It also makes my heart so happy that Hoops and 1983 are so so sad and triggered. F both of you! If you want to see disrespect to this rivalry look no further then you POS coach. I can pull so many quotes and actions from past brawls.

Oh one more thing, if you don’t want Bobcats celebrating in your field, beat them!

Yes, it is, it reflects poor coaching, and I actually like Coach Vigen. Our kids are taught and told to not demonstrate such boorish behavior and they don't. Yes, celebrate, jump up and down, high five and hug each other, but no one wants to see some MSU player simulating masturbation in front of their elementary school kids, their wives and girl friends, and senior citizens at the game. And if you do, you're as big of a moron as that MSU player !!!

If one or more of our kids displayed such vulgar, immature behavior, Bobby and or staff would have them running laps and stairs before and/or after practice, they would would be spending some quality time with their dumb ass parked on the bench, and through the NIL, we could potentially fine them some $ for such rude, immature junior-high behavior and in so doing, violating their NIL agreement, code of conduct.

Coach Vigen is a class act--he needs to nip this Beavis and Butthead behavior in the bud !!!

You clearly haven't watched games the griz have won in Bozeman....I've seen the same. Do I love it no. But it happens.

When have you seen a GRIZ player on the field taunting your fans in Bozeman after the game by simulating masterbation ?

I too have been to several brawls in Bozeman, most of them but one we won, and I have never seen any GRIZ players engaging in such immature, disgusting juvenile behavior before, during or after a game in Bozeman !!!

I am. Was not even disappointed by the game. No team wins every game. I now know the Griz are better than the Cats. Ball bounced Cats way more times than to the Griz. Cats played a nice game, and better than the Griz. I looked forward to better bounces, Loud returning, and Wortham having a better game. The Cats 2 preseason all conference players did little or nothing. 2 tackles each and 1 sack. The Griz have more in the tank; the Cats don't.

Coaches can't directly control fans, they can only encourage them to show good sportsmanship.

Coaches do control their players and can have a talk with them before a game letting them know vulgar, disgusting behavior will result in running steps, stairs, loss of playing time and $ fines of their NIL money 💰 for violating their NIL code of conduct. !!!

Either Coach Vigen didn't have that talk with his team or they didn't listen. If I were him, I would use all of the above approach: loss of playing time, stairs, laps, $ NIL fines, and the guilty players would be making an " apology video" apologizing to The University of Montana, it's students and fans, and I would also let the guilty parties know that any repeats will lead to expulsion off my team !!!

And if I were MSU's new president, I would have a heart-to-heart with my AD Leon Costello and tell him if I see any such behavior in the future, he is to monetarily fine the coaches of the football team and a letter of reprimand will also be placed in their files.

I was blessed to know Dr. Mike Malone, MSU's late president and eminent Montana historian. Mike would have been absolutely livid if he had seen any of MSU's players displaying such rude, boorish and vulgar behavior, there would have been hell to pay, and s___t would have started flowing downhill rapidly from the president's office starting with his AD to abolish such behavior ASAP. !!!
 
That was an awful look for the msu program.

And I don’t blame the players. They’re just idiots whose frontal lobes haven’t formed. But where the fuck was the coaching staff?? I get the culture of the staff over there and how they were probably drinking by then, but that was an embarrassment.
 
Read a comment on Facebook that one of our fans has a video of #32 Julius Davis messing with the chain crew all game and had to be restrained a couple of times by cat coaches, the fan said he has sent the video to the Conference, Vigen and the president, the flag crew guys aren’t fans and are employees of the conference, let’s see if anything happens.

I agree. Also consider NIL payments now make them more like employees of they school the are now representatives of. People in the stands are probably not associated directly to the school. Many never attended the school and can be very annoying. The coaching staff of any team has the responsibility to instill classy behavior in their players (employees).
