Tarleton will not jump the Griz. Lehigh shouldn’t either for that matter. They should rank the teams according to the play on the field, not prospective inter-conference matchups.

I also think Harvard is in the field. They will reward the Ivy for finally coming around, and let's face it, it's good for the game to have both those teams play. There were 52k people at that game yesterday!

The committee could go either way on the gris and Lehigh. I actually think it will be gris at #3 but we'll see. Like it or not, they are comparing a 10-1 team with no wins in the playoff field (maybe) against a 12-0 team with two wins in the playoff field. That says Lehigh is the #3. But this committee also likes the eye test, which clearly has gris at #3. Gris would open as double-digit favorites against Lehigh on a neutral field.

Tarelton sealed the #5 by looking very beatable yesterday. They must be thin on D because that wasn't a good effort. Very undisciplined and selfish. Not a good formula for playoff wins. Yes they beat Army, but Army had 5 self-inflicted turnovers trying to break in a new QB. Still went to OT. I'm not high on Tarleton even with the FBS win.

Lots of teams shitting the bed yesterday. #6-24 is a real crap shoot.

Does this mean anything? Still has the Griz @ #2 as well as FCS Playoff games scheduled for the First Round:

The date on it is Nov 17, so no, it had nothing to do with today.

I think what we saw though was the committee got it right and said on loss at the end of the year is not going to be weighed against other teams with lesser losses just because they lost earlier in the season.

Date says Updated 17 Nov 25, but it does reflect current won-loss records as of today. And games scheduled for the 29th of Nov. as well for the 2025 FCS Playoffs. Looks like some of it all has been updated since.

Strange.

Anyways, I guess the following is more official:

I like those picks. I think really the only 2 that are in question are Tennessee Tech/UND and ACU/Lamar. May be better games than some of those scores, but I would concur with the picks.

Really half of the first round games are going to be blowouts.

I mean I know it's arrogant to say this, but they really don't belong in the playoffs, but I understand the Automatic Qualifiers are going to get in. Some teams win, some teams lose.

CCSU - Placeholder auto bid
Yale - Placeholder auto bid
Drake - Placeholder auto bid
Harvard - Placeholder, total garbage and should have NEVER been given an at-large.
UNoDak - Shouldn't have gotten an at-large
SIU - Shouldn't have gotten an at-large
UNH - Shouldn't have gotten the at-large
Lamar- Shouldn't have gotten an at-large

Teams that deserved the at larges (IMO):
Monmouth over UNH
Western Carolina over NoDak
UTRGV over Lamar
Presbyterian over Harvard

Again just my opinion and I watched all of these teams play multiple games. The NEC, Pioneer and Ivy league will never be competitive in the playoffs, unless it's an academic playoff, then everyone is in trouble.
