That was WAY too close!

When a team has literally 10 DBs out with injury, that will happen. They are having to play a lot of young guys right now, this really shouldn't be surprising
Loud and who else? There must be 1 or 2 I'm missing but Lawler, Ford, WIlkinson, Rausch and Harper have been playing all year.

Loud, Beaner, Breston, Gentry all banged up
Well there's four. I'm still trying to figure out who the other six are since the above poster said the team "literally has 10 DBs out with injury".

Methinks the poster who said that does not understand the actual definition of "literally". Maybe he needs to consult Merriam-Webster and cross reference with "figuratively".

My view is that the Griz have won every game and that has had nothing to do with stars lining up. They won with preparation, talent, toughness, physical play, determination, grit, heart, believing in each other, not getting rattled, making plays, and never giving up.
Were you billing your time when you gave out these adjectives? Damn haha

I think from now on, it’s safe to say and expect that Eastern Washington will always do an onside kick against us and recover the football. Holy hell how many games have we had against them in the last 15 years where they’ve had to resort to an onside kick and recovered the ball? Absolutely bonkers that we never seem prepared for it.

Breathe everyone. Everything will be okay. The sun came up and we got out of bed today.

If you watched or were on the 95 National Championship team, you know that even a team with a Walter Payton Award winning quarterback will have games like today. Can someone on that team remind everyone of the games that the team lost and struggled against sub-par competition? I could do this but I would like someone else to do it so it doesn't just come from one person.

Can someone on the 2001 National Championship team remind everyone of the games that the team lost or struggled against sub-par competition?

We havent won a NC since 2001 and will not for the foreseeable future

Is the EWU freshman QB amazing? Or did we just make him look good?

Regardless, that was WAY too close of a game. Most people thought (myself included) we were going to steamroll them by 30 points.

Turns out we escaped our first loss of the game thanks to a QB fumble with 3 seconds left on the clock and they didn't have any timeouts left. WOW!

Talk about saved by the bell!
They still had to convert the play which some on here seem to think was inevitable. This was Schakel's first start. I would be willing to bet that situation was very new to him and most likely received very minimal reps throughout camp and early season on these types of situations. I will take our D over him in that situation every time.

Wishing a speedy recovery for your nephew. We all are sure lucky they chose Montana. They have been needed far sooner than I would have hoped, but they are both out there fighting for every play. Really excited to see them grow with the program and I hope they stick around.
I don’t see any reason as to why they wouldn’t at this point. It’s been a treat to see them both play, bummed to see Brady go down.

I’m sure you can see how they are different already. Brady has grown quickly at corner, and watching Brock get comfortable further from the LOS has been awesome. I’ve watched A LOT of football in my life, and there aren’t many players I have ever seen who can pursue and hunt down the ball carrier like he does. He stalks prey like a big Tom!
