That was WAY too close!

I personally don’t believe it’s at all realistic to win a Natty unless by some miracle the defense drastically improves.

They’ve been consistently victimized all season despite playing no one.
The worst offense in the Big Sky put 479 yards on this D. A freshman put 451 passing yards on them. Cooper and Hauck need to figure it out. Any offense with a pulse (and some without) can throw the ball on the d we have on the field and have a good shot at winning. They are the 4th team to throw for more than 300 yards. The second to throw for over 400.

I like the sacks, but when 3rd and long is practically a gimme it’s all, as Coach would say, empty calories.

I don’t disagree PDX. I did find it interesting that the same QB went in at the end of the Bobcat game and was 7 for 10 passing. I think he is really a baller. I also think our secondary is mediocre at best. Finally, the coaches need to get the team ready to play a complete game. How did EWU make adjustments and the Griz didn’t? The offensive performance today was absolutely sub par and the play calling was putrid. I get being conservative when you are way up, but that was bad today. Also, Ah Yat and his receivers were not on the same page several times. This late in the season - that shouldn’t and cannot happen.

Is the EWU freshman QB amazing? Or did we just make him look good?

Regardless, that was WAY too close of a game. Most people thought (myself included) we were going to steamroll them by 30 points.

Turns out we escaped our first loss of the game thanks to a QB fumble with 3 seconds left on the clock and they didn't have any timeouts left. WOW!

Talk about saved by the bell!
A win is a win & the Griz are undefeated. But the Cats beat Eastern 57 to 3.

He's really good & will be a handful in the next few years. FWIW, he went into the Cat game in trash time against 3rd string, and the final score was still 57 to 3.

We're happy for you. See you Nov. 22.
It'll be as it should be. For the outright title and home field to Nashville. You guys have the triumverate on offense that's hard to deal with, and I think we have better fronts on both sides. We've not handled the environment and the emotions well under Vigen at your place. On a neutral field I think the Cats are a touchdown favorite but it's far from a neutral field.
But what a great opportunity as football fans. Whomever wins and gets that 2 seed will have earned it on the field against the other, and we get to watch it happen. Can't wait.

I was amazed the QB was able to stay calm and connect with his receivers in spite of pressure we applied behind his O line. I'm no expert, but it seems we might have done better against their first down success if we held back with the blitz on first down.
