Luckily, I picked the right key words for a quick Google search and got this:

It's from the opponent's backyard, so take it for what it's worth. Key quote:

Two key points: (1) SDSU is still being cagey about Mason's status. (2) Had not heard that the backup, Marble, had also gone out with an injury. As to the first, even if Mason gets back (personally, I'm doubtful), he's likely to be rusty. On the second, they seem to expect to see the Q3.

Nothing I've found leads me to change my vote for a USD "upset." (Listed that way only because the pollsters, IMO, ranked SDSU higher than they should be.)
I read some stuff a couple days ago, and they were not forthcoming at all, hence my lack of interest in putting forth the effort hahaha. Thanks for doing this. I didn't know about the backup situation, even though I read quite a bit a couple days ago. I will stick with the USD win, which again I feel helps the Griz since they beat UND.

It must be a Dakota thing to give themself more credit than they deserve.

"The Coyotes will close their two-game homestand and regular season Saturday with the annual Interstate Series against newly ranked No. 9 South Dakota State.

The Jackrabbits, the defending FCS national champions, were upset last week by Indiana State 24-12.
"

Wow. Losing chase Mason was bad enough but then having the second stringer go out also? No wonder they lost to Indiana State. Makes much more sense now. I'm not sure they win any games until they get at least the backup guy back.
Marble didn’t go out until the 4th quarter. They were already down 24-12 when he was replaced. That’s a BAD almost inexcusable loss.

Still no statement out of SDSU about Mason's ability to play ... which, honestly, I consider a bad sign at this point. Even if he does get back in, how ready will he be? Rivalry game, on the road, having missed a couple weeks of practice. Not a good scenario.

I have been keeping an eye on this too. So far, this is all I have seen...

"Mason has not seen action since being injured on the opening drive of SDSU’s Oct. 18 game at Murray State and his status for Saturday’s game at South Dakota will be determined later in the week"

I know if this was Bobby Hauck running the news and it wouldn't tell one way or the other either. I'm going on Mason is out and with him out, USD wins because Marble isn't getting it done. If Marble is out as well after his little ding against Indiana State, the bunny boys are truly in a hurtful state.

Their two deep actually lists

QB 7 Chase Mason, 6-4, 240, Sr., Hurley, S.D. 27
or 13 Luke Marble, 6-4, 210, R-Fr., Smyrna, Ga.

for what it's worth, i asked ai, and the response was he's still out with a foot injury, so not playing.

No they don't
Have you watched any UND games including the one here in Missoula? Their offensive line is elite. Anyone who played the game at this level knows and will tell you the offensive line is the most important position group later in the season and into the playoffs.

One of the minor vote-getters is looking a bit more likely: New Hampshire leads #7 Monmouth at the end of the 3rd quarter, 27-13. Plenty of time to turn it around, UNH has the ball right now.
