Playoff Committee Poll

Think about the reasoning behind putting these rankings out in early October and in early November....there is no reason....other than to generate hype about the FCS playoffs....and the easiest way to generate hype? Create arguments. Easiest way to create arguments? Rage bait the most passionate fan base in the FCS...
Also the cats love to run up the score and keep their starters in late in the game. (Real classy)

100% untrue. MSU had Adam Jones taking reps up 55-0 against UNC, less than 9 minutes left in the game. The starting QB was in up 41-0.

Montana starters played a little over 1/2 the game against Indiana State (Jake Jensen took over at QB with 6:30 left in the 3rd). 2's and 3's were rotating in by mid-2nd quarter against Weber.

In fact, in many of the games it's the early rotation of subs that has allowed some teams to claw back into the game (somewhat)...one of my primary complaints with Bobby...(maybe my ONLY complaint with Bobby).
The term “final drive” used by Profisme is very specific, similar in the fashion to how Tom “Homer” Stuber likes to craft his bobcat stat narratives.
“In games in which the contest takes place on an even calendar date, at a stadium which has an odd number of stadium seats, the bobcats have blah, blah blah”. While it may be true that the cat starters weren’t on the field during the final offensive series, many of them, including Jones played in the 4th quarter when they were up 48-0.

Colson Coon was taking reps with the Cats up 55-0. If you don't believe me on that, feel free to watch the replay of the game. Pretty easy to see MSU did not have offensive starters in after they went up 41-0 on the first play of the 4th quarter.

I wasn't talking about Indiana State. As I stated in my post, I was referring to conference games only.

Unless Adam Jones decided to shrink a couple inches and also wear Colson Coon's #28 jersey, you are incorrect.

Time on the clock and score when MSU's starting QB Lamson and either Jones or Davis in the game:
MSU v. EWU - 3:22 left in 3rd Q, 43-3 MSU
MSU v. NAU - 12:51 left in 4th Q, 34-7 MSU
MSU v. ISU - 12:21 left in 4th Q, 41-14 MSU
MSU v. Cal Poly - End of Game
MSU v. UNC - 14:52 left in 4th Q, 41-0 MSU

Conversely, UM's conference games and Ah Yat or Gillman in the game:
UM v. Idaho - End of Game
UM v. ISU - End of Game
UM v. Cal Poly - End of Game
UM v. Sac State - End of Game
UM v. Weber - 14:55 left in the 4th Q

The thought that MSU was running up the score or padding stats does not appear to be correct, and they most certainly did not have Jones in the game when they were up 48-0.

None of this matters, but that "conference games" is a BS stance. Lets just remove our losses so we can talk about the common opponents. I'll remove the Grizzlies losses and you can remove the cats. Seems fair right?

Now remind me how the cats fared against Idaho? Against Sacramento State? That's right we don't play the same teams anymore. We just play some of them. Getting hard to make an honest comparison when we are using a select small sample size. Fact is, there just is not a real apples to apples comparison to make.

As the season has worn on your cats are really starting to look impressive. They are playing well and will give the Grizzlies quite the challenge. Could be an epic game. That said the cats are losing cat/Griz. So get used to it now so it is not such a shock when it happens. Telling you as a friend, I care about your mental health. I know how fragile bobcat fans can be.

I agree, no matter how you look at the stats and record, you are still comparing apples and rocks. The Cats are obviously the better team.
