Is there pressure on this team to win another championship before we move up?

I think the world of Plfu, and I do think that either he or Hauck would have won a national title had they been coaching the Griz with JJ and not had all the drama we had at that time. But to claim Pflugrad is a better coach after only ever being a head coach for two years is a bit out of pocket.

My point, he says one is bad because he hasn't won a championship but the other is good even though he hasn't won a championship.

Yea, I'm giving up on him. I tried to have an actual talk, but you can't argue with logic like that. By that line of thinking, we might might as well say I am a better coach because I have never had a season where I coached a team and didn't win the national title. Sure, I've never been a head coach, but at least I also haven't failed to win a natty.

Or we need a better Offensive and Defensive Coach. We run the same plays back to back probly a lil too much and the o-line is pretty weak especially on the right side. Our defense is sub par from what we are known for (seeing gradual improvement but not championship worthy). Heck our d-line rarely stunts either.

I dont pretend to be a pro or anything, just my analysis/opinion. To be fair, I really have no clue on how the stupid NIL thing really works, nor do I have any knowledge of what resources or powers we may or may not have.

How many championships did Pflu win? People prop him up like he was a great head coach. He had 1 good year with Hauck’s players that got taken away due to NCAA violations. What did he do as a head coach outside of UM? 3-7 record at the JuCo level.

You are leaving out Bobby leaving for UNLV in the middle of this, the program being put under sanctions during the coach that replaced Bobby, NDSU rising to a dynasty off the Gophers being an all time failure at football the last 25 years and Montana State becoming a formidable contender annually. Montana State happened to have their best president, head coach and players of all time after Bobby returned and he still held his own.

Terrible media market - would be a hard road for TV contracts where it seems the money really is at.

We have as good a chance this year as any in recent memory but it is still going to be hard. The top teams of the FCS all have facets that make them very good.
 
What’s going to be wild is watching JMU in the CFP this season. At 7-1 currently, theres a very real possibility that they nab that spot. Obviously they’ve got to win out, but their schedule is very favorable from here out and their only loss would be to current #15 Louisville.

He just throws out all kinds of unsupportable opinions but when you hit back with logic and actual facts, he ignores them. You can't reason with someone like that.
 
If Washington and Oregon were failures in the FBS and all the Seattle and Portland guys who want to win games would have Montana as the closest option like what has happened with the Minnesota Gophers and NDSU Hauck might have 20 championships here.
