Is there pressure on this team to win another championship before we move up?

Where would the “Snowbelt” conference with Montana, Montana State, SDSU, USD, NDSU, UND and say Idaho and Eastern Washington be in the FBS landscape? I think the conference with be better than most non power 5 conferences from the start. Mountain West’s current rendition is not a good, they would also be better than Conference USA and the MAC, the Snowbelt might be comparable to the Sunbelt in quality.

No where. The Snowbelt as a FBS conference isn't happening.

One isn't required to do the other.
It's not required but it sure would be nice because it would put an end to the bubs saying that with counting "championships" that were decided by votes from newspaper reporters after a 0-0 tie in the bubs final game, that MSU has 3 championships and the Griz only have 2. When it comes to competing for national championships it will not happen for awhile after announcing moving up whether it is in the FCS where the Griz wont be eligible or in the FBS where we will be competing with teams like 2017 Washington. I think the Griz could win a game against anyone in the FBS like how Boise State beat Oklahoma with Adrian Peterson but in a 4 game playoff sample I don't think the Griz will be able to compete with the Big 10 and SEC's top teams.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah.

With UM’s resources and powers like the Dakota schools, no other coach would do any better. Hauck is and has been a terrific coach at Montana.
I wasnt trying to take away from him. Just saying he has done just about everything. We all know he/we can do better with the recruiting even with the NIL nonsense. Or we need a better Offensive and Defensive Coach. We run the same plays back to back probly a lil too much and the o-line is pretty weak especially on the right side. Our defense is sub par from what we are known for (seeing gradual improvement but not championship worthy). Heck our d-line rarely stunts either.

I dont pretend to be a pro or anything, just my analysis/opinion. To be fair, I really have no clue on how the stupid NIL thing really works, nor do I have any knowledge of what resources or powers we may or may not have.

However, Go Griz!

It's fun to think about, at least I think so but EWU wouldn't be included due to financial issues and you'd have to add west coast and southern schools to make it work but the "Snowbelt" name can stay.

NORTH: Idaho, Montana, MSU, UND, USD, SDSU, NDSU

SOUTH: Tarleton, Abeline Christian, NAU, *NMSU, Cal Poly, Sac State, UT-Tech

With this you'd add schools who have either shown interest in moving up, have the facilities acceptable for a G6 Conference, in markets/areas/States that could support an FBS team or in cities with booming populations (St George). In New Mexico States case all but garunteed theyd rather be in a Western Conference to help with travel.

Also would be a good balance for a TV deal with 3 PTZ, 5 MTZ, 6 CTZ teams with the caveat being we'd ONLY play Thursday or Friday night games to help the TV deal. As mentioned this is very unlikely (unless I win the power ball) but I think a Conference like this would be comparable to the Sun Belt.

No, "we" don't all know that. Because some of what you said isn't accurate. Especially the last part of your first para. What you said is dead wrong. Every single sentence after the first few is wrong. But you are, of course, welcome to say what you want.

RE: South division...No, No, No, Yes, No, No, No.

UM
MSU
USD
UND
NDSU
SDSU
Idaho
Weber
Davis (if we MUST have a Cali team)
NMSU
ACU & ICW (if we need a couple Texas teams--doesn't snow here much tho)

Let Suck sink on their own--hopefully they'll just fold as a university.

Let CP, PSU, NAU, UNC, ISU, EWU, NAU, Utah Tech, SUU all go form their own shitty OVC-level conference.

And isn't Tarleton already going FBS?

Please correct me where i'm wrong. like i said, im not a pro or anything. so of course any insight would be useful :)

I used to to thi k UM should stay where they are but the landscape has changed too much with NIL. The Dakota and Montana Schools don't belong in FCS
Or, it could be reversed and a lot of FBS teams need to drop down. Maybe wait just a minute before trying to move up. There is nothing to indicate FBS mid tier schools are flourishing. What is today, may not be the case tomorrow. TV and streaming contracts may not be as lucrative in the future. FCS is not good right now. That’s hard to argue and I won’t even try. Wyoming, Colorado State, Utah State, Oregon State, Washington State are all garbage right now. Let’s see how this plays out. BTW, where are the Griz and the Cants moving to?
