Throwbacks to be auctioned

I literally sat there for almost 2 hours like an idiot doing the back and forth clicking dance. From right at 2pm on. Things went very quickly once the website came back up. Helmets, decals sold out. Many of the jerseys gone(36 left now). Sure Kent will have some fun things to say about it as it’s always frustrating for those guys when it doesn’t go well.

It's currently saying that the auction items are already sold, which can't be the case because the auction runs through the 22nd.

I think they're going to make a new auction (maybe on another site?) and put the things up that are not currently sold (including all of the auction items).

For those still wanting items. Looks like there’s a decent amount of jerseys left for $300. You just purchase them. No bids.

Those helmets flew off fast at 1k a pop.

I’m curious about the bidding items. They make it seem as tho the bidding is closed. But it should be open through next week. The number would surely go up on those items.

The website crashing is the best sign there's interest in the throwback logo and colors. If they created NFTs with the logo and colors, would anyone have interest?

We will see I guess

I hope when they get their shit together they accurately capture the items that were already sold. I know I already have an invoice for my item.
Same here. I do think they tried to put a pause to the auction though it seems that ship had sailed. Given the invoice aspect, I think some people will be SOL which can be a bitter pill to swallow. Given the response it was always going to be a hot ticket item. I literally had the item clicked within a few seconds of the auction opening up and just couldn’t complete the initial purchase. Sometimes perseverance pays off. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Got a jersey and some stickers - I'll put the stickers on a helmet that I'll purchase.

My hope - athletics sees the overwhelming response this had and explores another sale - maybe a group order, and gets more for fans.

I got a few items as well. Got one right away and then the others as soon as sh!t calmed down near 4pm. As others have noted, I hope they honor the buy it now stuff. I understand putting the auction items back up for longer.

All that said, who the f@ck didn’t see this coming and plan ahead? Seriously, this isn’t 2010, could we not find an auction site that has reasonable bandwidth? Shame on the the third rate site for lack of foresight and for whichever admin didn’t vet this process a little better. It feels like someone just googled “cheap auction site” and clicked on the lowest option.

From the GSA:

"Dear Griz Nation,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your incredible support and enthusiasm for our recent online auction. Your dedication means the world to us, and that’s why we want to be fully transparent about what happened.

Unfortunately, the auction didn’t go as planned. The auction provider experienced unexpected technical issues that disrupted the process, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion, frustration, or disappointment this may have caused. You deserve better, and we’re committed to making it right.

The good news: we're not giving up. We're regrouping, learning from what went wrong, and preparing to relaunch the auction very soon with a more reliable platform and improved systems to ensure a smoother, more successful experience for everyone involved.

At the start, the auction ran successfully for a very short time. For the few orders that were processed and completed during that window, we will honor those purchases. If you're one of those participants, you’ll hear from us within the next 24 hours.

However, if you received a confirmation after the system crashed, we regret that we cannot fulfill that transaction. In fairness to all participants, and due to the extent of the technical failure, we must start fresh. Please know that as soon as we recognized the issues, we reached out to the auction provider to try to pause or fix the event. Unfortunately, the server failure prevented them from taking action in time.

So, what’s next? We’re working diligently to reschedule the auction for sometime next week, using a more dependable system and making sure everything is in place to give you the experience you deserve.

Your patience, understanding, and continued support mean everything to us. We’ll share new auction details as soon as they’re finalized.

Thank you again for standing with us, we truly appreciate you. Who else but Griz Nation can break the internet.

With gratitude,

Grizzly Scholarship Association"

So it looks like people who originally got in and got something get to keep that, but pretty much anything after the crash is being taken back. Not sure if that is only for the Auction stuff or for the Buy it Now stuff as well. My guess is it is all of it just based off the wording.

Are you Flippin’ kidding me!

Yep. A joke. Even though all of us were there at the start, and some of us rode it out, guess we all get to start over except the people that somehow were able to compete their purchase in the first few milliseconds. SMH.

I played the game and clicked for a helmet just as it crashed...no confirmation. Played the game more and got on with one helmet left. Bought it and got invoiced. Now they say Sorry, try again next week!
Maybe it was a waste of time but I sent a response back to the email. Fingers crossed if enough people speak up hopefully we can get what was promised.
