North Dakota State Will Finish 12-0 and WIN the Natty ?

This is a really good point and one of the reasons it’s so impressive the Griz have won the last few weeks.

Not saying he’s their best player, but Kyon Loud is Montana’s most important player. His man coverage skills unlock their defense. To be able to beat two pass heavy teams with him on the shelf is very impressive. There just aren’t a lot of guys at the FCS level who can play man like Loud.
You could make a case for Wing being our most important player on defense and KAY being our most important player on offense.

The thing that sets NDSU apart (besides talent and coaching) is depth. They have a FBS ability to deal with attrition and injury. Folks say the post season is all about depth: how many playmakers can you bring to bear? They typically can bring more than others. They recruit and develop more talent than most.

People in the Big Ten were posting something similar about Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson about five years ago. Look how the tables have turned with two of the top three teams in the Big Ten and neither Alabama nor Georgia nor Clemson in the top five.
What does this have to with NDSU dominating the FCS? Alabama will play 4 ranked opponents in 4 weeks, while the FCS has 4 legit teams. Nobody outside of NDSU, SDSU, Montana, or msu have a chance at winning the FCS Championship.

"If it wasn’t evident before this last weekend, it should be now; NDSU is far and above the best team in the country right now (again). "

Well they could get beat in the playoffs but it gonna take a team like MSU to do it. Odds are not good for the Griz.
Interesting…..a team like MSU? You mean the team that lost on their home field to SDSU? Trying to figure out why MSU is the team you listed to do it.

"North Dakota State Will Finish 12-0 If it wasn’t evident before this last weekend, it should be now; NDSU is far and above the best team in the country right now (again). The Bison took on a really talented Southern Illinois bunch in Week 7… a team that by all accounts should make the playoffs in its own right… and dropped the hammer on them in a game that was only competitive for a half. North Dakota State was able to generate well over 500 yards of total offense and hold SIU to 313. Once again Cole Payton couldn’t miss as he completed 13 of 16 passes and four different ball carriers scored. Southern Illinois was also one of the more difficult games remaining on the schedule. Yes, North Dakota and South Dakota State still loom but there’s no reason to think that this Bison team won’t win both of those games as well as the other four and end the season undefeated." Because they are the only team that Jared did not pick besides the Griz in the top 4.We will need MSU to beat them so we can beat MSU in the playoffs because frankly we are not going to be beat NDSU playing like we are now.

Both of those games are on the road the Bison could easily lose both of them but we are likely going to have to face NDSU, SDSU or UND at a neutral site in the championship game regardless of how seeding works out.

It's so super cute how clowns like 5280 think your program is even on the radar when it comes to NDSU! LOL

When the Bison absolutely truck the Sioux at home anyone with a pulse will say hmm that was expected.

Not you, you will blame the refs, say that the Sioux had a bad day, blame everything but the fact.

There are 10 to 15 programs in all of college football that could match up to our DL and OL.

Nobody in the FCS can.

If we stay healthy the only thing in question is do we win the NC by 3 or 5 TDs

Good point on Wing--our defense was night and day better after he sat out his suspension during the first half last week in Pocatello and returned to play the entire second half !!!

With Wing in at LB and with us playing more or exclusively zone--with Loud hurt--against Cal Poly and picking their pocket repeatedly, add more QB pressure from our front 3, and we just might have the football recipe for a little run come late November and December, even with Loud out !!!

While I am totally biased, I think even a neutral observer would like our chances if the above comes true.

The last team the team started 6-0 they went all the way to the national championship in 2009. There were some close games against bad teams particularly on the road but the Griz kept finding ways to win similar to this season.

If you had any credibility, it is now completely gone. 10 or 15 programs in all of college football? Have you not watched an SEC team this year? Take the 10 best FBS teams and they are going to not only match up, but win in the trenches against NDSU every single game. Stick to rating gravy for a living and get into a rehab program. You are losing it. NIL money alone dictates that the best players in college football go FBS.

If NDSU and SDSU left the FCS for the big time. Maybe once in 10 years would either Montana school have a chance at a NC.

That's how far behind you guys are.

Like I said it's super cute how much you want to be relevant again! 2001 was a long time ago and most people posting here were probably not even born yet.

So now, you are hedging your bets. "If we stay healthy". Maybe you should also say, "If we win all of our regular season games and all of our playoff games, we will be national champs".

The only way we don't win it all is if we have injuries. Even if we have 3 or 4 we will still truck anyone from the Big Sky most high school teams in ND could match up with any program the BSC has

Remind me who won the last playoff game between NDSU and UM. You have a big mouth, but don't know what you are talking about
