North Dakota State Will Finish 12-0 and WIN the Natty ?

Here’s a hypothetical: it’s 2035. And North Dakota State has won 21 of the last 24 national titles. There’s no movement for realignment and NDSU is still in a different league than Montana and Montana State.

How will we feel about the FCS then?

We are fast tracking toward a second straight NDSU national title, which will be the 11th in 14 years if the above analysis is correct….

People who are crowning NDSU as the Champs already aren't looking at the big picture. NDSU isn't competing against the MVFC for the national championship. Nobody in the MVFC is a threat to NDSU except SDSU and possibly UND (NDSU is on the road for both games).

The only threats to NDSU this year are the same threats that have been there the last 5 years - South Dakota State, Montana, Montana State, and possibly UND this year. Everyone else is just playing second-fiddle.

Oh please. If NDSU loses to UND they won’t have a top 2 seed and will need to come to Montana in the playoffs likely a round like the semi finals. We all know what happened the last time UND came to Missoula in the semifinals 2 years ago.
You're gonna have to beat one of them in Nashville though. Can we beat them on a neutral field?

I would feel the same about UM remaining FCS and the dubious validity of post hoc fallacies.

People in the Big Ten were posting something similar about Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson about five years ago. Look how the tables have turned with two of the top three teams in the Big Ten and neither Alabama nor Georgia nor Clemson in the top five.

"If it wasn’t evident before this last weekend, it should be now; NDSU is far and above the best team in the country right now (again). "

Well they could get beat in the playoffs but it gonna take a team like MSU to do it. Odds are not good for the Griz.
Nothing last forever. Nothing. If you want to roll over and have your tummy rubbed by a Bison fan with gravy on their fingers - go for it. Sounds like a Cat fan or a troll. Hmmmmmm

One other thing. FCS teams aren’t that deep. A few injuries or targeting calls make a big difference. Everyone acts like teams will remain healthy throughout the year. I don’t wish an injury on any kid. They happen and it impacts an FCS teams ability to dominate and execute. Who knows who is healthy come November and December.

This is a really good point and one of the reasons it’s so impressive the Griz have won the last few weeks.

Not saying he’s their best player, but Kyon Loud is Montana’s most important player. His man coverage skills unlock their defense. To be able to beat two pass heavy teams with him on the shelf is very impressive. There just aren’t a lot of guys at the FCS level who can play man like Loud.
