I think from a balanced perspective and a seeding discussion, SDSU falls out of a top 2 seed if they lose to NDSU. If by the end of the season you have an undefeated NDSU, undefeated Montana, undefeated Tarleton and a 1 loss South Dakota State and a three loss Montana State, you're likely looking at the seeding below. You could make a case potentially to swap SDSU and Tarleton based on strength of schedule, but the pollsters are already high on Tarleton at this point of the season, regardless of their strength of schedule:I don't see SDSU dropping if they lose to NDSU. it just means #2 wasn't as good as #1.
seed: North Dakota State (12-0)
seed: Montana (12-0)
seed: Tarleton State (12-0)
seed: South Dakota State (11-1)
seed: Montana State (9-3) or UND (9-3) or Southern Illinois (9-3) or Illinois State (9-3)
