FCS STATS Poll, Sept 29 (Griz #4)

The Griz did not move up quite like the more optimistic of us thought they might … but they did move ahead of the kitties. The pollsters punished Idaho a bit more than I expected … down to #12. As expected, Sac State did drop out of the top-25.

STATS changed the format this week and appended the list to a much longer article, so I can’t provide a link.

I'm kinda surprised that Montana didn't jump to the #3 spot, and even more surprised that Tarleton State received one 1st place vote... They don't have the resume to warrant that, IMO.

before long we will be either 2 or 3 ......oct 25 bison and rabbits play....so one of those will drop below us based on conference strength Tarleton will end up dropping...South Dakota must be the new NIU no matter how much they get beat on they stay in the top 25.....

That Oct. 25th game will get tons of hype but it wouldn't surprise me if the game was close that the voters keep NDSU and SDSU 1-2 in the polls.

The pollsters were “kinder” to Rhode Island than I expected after they got pounded by a weak MAC team. Conversely, as noted earlier, they hit Idaho more than I thought they would.

They also punished Abilene Christian even more than I guessed, but did not reward Incarnate Word for the win. Instead of nudging the Cardinals into the top-25, they finally took their chance to move Harvard in (no real surprise there).

Yeah his reasoning was that three, four and five are so close that he wasn't going to change anything in his poll. Even though Montana is undefeated and has two ranked wins, and MSU has two losses and no ranked wins, he still left them above UM. Make it make sense.
Yeah man hes a clown NDSU jock sniffer

It will become clearer as the season goes on that Tarleton's strength of schedule isn't as good as currently rated.
SDSU and NDSU will reshuffle themselves, same for UM and MSU.

Coaches Poll: #4 there, too.
