2025 FCS Week 3 Schedule

The worst game on the entire NCAA schedule in 2025 IMO is this weekend.
Butler visits D-III Hanover.
If that is some kind of old traditional rivalry, maybe Butler needs to drop down to D-III with Saint Francis, but why would a D-I team play a road game against any lower division team?

Whataboutism time...you guys go on the road every other year to Bozeman, so that's kind of the same thing.

Looks like our game against the fightin' NoDaks is the big game of the week: two-ranked teams , # 20 vs. # 6, above # 19 NAU vs. # 24 SUU.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Central Arkansas FBS-- not very good but still FBS ? So if Tarelton whips them after beating Army, is Tarelton a legitimate title contender ? I already think Tarelton should be ranked ahead of The 0-2 Shi__y Kitties , the best 0-2 school in The FCS, dammit !!!

That's not at all fair to compare.
Butler was 3-0 against non D-I opponents. Who plays three games against D-II and below. Butler was 5-3 in the Patriot and San Diego was 6-2 but they did not play head to head.
Against common opponents, San Diego was 5-2 compared to Butler 4-3.

There is no excuse for Mercyhurst, that is the NEC's fault, along with Chicago State in 2026.

NDSU has played as a D2 program 81 of the 103 years they've been a football team. SDSU, UND, and USD have been almost the same amount of time.

True. They were part of the College Division which was essentially Division 2 and Division 3 schools grouped together in one division. Starting in 1973, those who offered scholarships became D2, those who didn't D3. Therefore, schools like NDSU, UND, SDSU, and USD have always considered themselves D2 because they offered athletic scholarships.
