I know cat fans like to make fun of GRIZ playing a div 2 team but damn we have never played Sul Ross State!
Come on SFA

The bubs have quite a challenging couple of weeks against non athletic scholarship San Diego and Mercyhurst. The sad part is MSU has played both of these bad teams recently. They scheduled Mercyhurst 2 years in a row what a joke!

FCS Top 25 week 3 Schedule
1 North Dakota State drubs Southeast Missouri State
2 South Dakota State handily (not like Lauren Boebert) beats Drake
3 Kittens finally get their first win of the season over San Diego
4 South Dakota beats N. Colorado
5 Tarleton State (unfortunately) rolls another foe in Central Arkansas (and I have to hear how great the Texans are for another week from my Tarleton alumna wife).
6 Montana (1-0) vs #20 North Dakota
7 Illinois State beats Eastern Illinois
8 UC Davis OFF
9 Rhode Island will move to 3-0 after they beat Holy Cross
10 Idaho (1-1) vs Utah Tech (0-2) 2PM
11 Lehigh continues to beat not-so-great Duquesne (1-1) 10AM
12 Incarnate Word is going to get pinned out on the Texas plains and left to dry by UTSA
13 Villanova is going to be a repeat of Grambling OSU when they meet FBS Penn State
14 Southern Illinois Saluki's will beat UT Martin by a nose
15 Jackson State wins over D2 Tuskegee
16 Abilene Christian will be crucified on the goal post by FBS TCU
17 Tennessee Tech (2-0) OFF
18 Sacramento St FINALLY get a win even if it is over Mercyhurst (1-1) 7PM
19 Northern Arizona wins over Southern Utah
20 North Dakota coming into WaGriz is not in their favor they are on a roll though but #6 Montana by 3
21 Monmouth is going to continue to contribute to poor Charlotte's losing streak.
22 Nichols (1-1) OFF
23 Mercer is gonna take Wofford to the woodshed
24 Southern Utah is going to lose to an up and coming Northern Arizona team
25 Stephen F. Austin made the top 25 with two losses oddly but will a a win at Sul Ross State

Other Big Sky Conference Games
Idaho St (0-2) OFF
EWU the birds get plucked by Northern Iowa
Weber St
is gonna get their first win of the year against McNeese
Cal Poly goes to 2-1 against a TOUGH:ROFLMAO: Western Oregon team
Portland State meets FBS Hawaii and their year only gets worse.

San Diego beat #25 SUU Saturday, the cats are on a different level. I see a blood bath Saturday if the cats can contain San Diego rb.

3 weeks in
Davis has played FCS teams close and got hammered by Washington.
Idaho played WSU tough then played down to St Thomas
Idaho state almost pulled of the big upset against UNLV then lost to SUU (that just lost to SAN DIEGO)
then turn around and play New Mexico close.
NAU should have beat UTU by more at home in my opinion. (if they are who everyone says they are)
Sac played teams close still without a win. Can they hold all the new players together?
PSU well they scored this week!!!!!!
No Co looked good against CSU (what does that mean?????) Played down to chadron only won by 14
Cats remain in the top 5 going into week three. See losing Tommy doesn't matter still top five!!!

Soo many questions for all teams.

The inconsistency is what gets me. Some of these teams are like a bouncing ping pong ball from week to week. I don't know who to pick in the pickem!

In all fairness, they were able to schedule Mercyhurst last year when SFA screwed the UAC and decided very late to move back to the Southland and they cancelled the game with Bozo. Mercyhurst was playing a limited schedule since they had just moved up and that is probably when they scheduled both games.

Seems weird to complain about a FCS school scheduling FCS schools.
Nothing to complain about because the bubs won’t be prepared for conference play. No one in bubnation had a problem with Rob Ash scheduling D2 8 years in a row. He did not have a single season at MSU that did not include D2 competition.

But Mercyhurst and San Diego are not D2 schools.

The worst game on the entire NCAA schedule in 2025 IMO is this weekend.
Butler visits D-III Hanover.
If that is some kind of old traditional rivalry, maybe Butler needs to drop down to D-III with Saint Francis, but why would a D-I team play a road game against any lower division team?
