We got Mossed in that one alright. What's the point, they'd just pluck some QB and WR out of the Portal. They learned from the 1995 Home Loss, and got Eric Kresser and Randy Moss. Trivia Question: How many times in the 1996 game did Kresser throw a TD to Randy Moss?
Answer: 4 (in Bold print)

It was because of this game that I told everyone that would listen in the Vikings org to take Randy Moss in the 1998 draft, if he was available. He was supposed to go much higher but his FSU behavior caused a lot of teams to turn away from him. There were a lot of people in the Vikings organization that wanted Vonnie Holliday or Tebucky Jones at 21.What's the point, they'd just pluck some QB and WR out of the Portal. I would prefer a H & H with App State.
That one hurt and spurred the team to win the natty in 2001.GSU was the first championship game I went to, and it always hurts me it came down to the run that wasn't stopped and the pass that wasn't caught.
Hauck talked about this the last time we went to Fargo for a playoff game and Entz gave his version too that the two schools had made efforts to do something but just had not been able to get together on it. There is room to put it on the schedule as early as 28-29 and if both teams maintain their current levels, a first week game each year might even look nice to the ESPN networks. I would be more in favor of this game in any scenario over wishing an FBS team of any kind would work with us on a home and home. Kennesaw State won't even come to Missoula. We should do more home and homes with North Dakota State. They probably would come to Missoula and the Fargo Dome is cool as well.
NDSU is a similar program to Montana as well at the top of the FCS and one state overHauck talked about this the last time we went to Fargo for a playoff game and Entz gave his version too that the two schools had made efforts to do something but just had not been able to get together on it. Fargo Dome is cool in the same way the Walkup Skydome is cool, without the altitude. We should do more home and homes with North Dakota State. They probably would come to Missoula and the Fargo Dome is cool as well.
