Projected returning starters for the 2025 Griz

According to Keelan in his GFP interview, Cliff didn’t do a great job of learning the plays. That’s gonna keep most QB’s out of a starting job. Luckily for Cliff, he has amazing tangibles to keep a play going until someone got open. Keelan said many times Cliff wouldn’t even run the play that was called and just draw something up. If the team didn’t seem to take a shit on Vidlak vs NAU, we might not have seen Cliff much at all.
Stop standing in the way of making Clif happen.

I don't agree that it took way too long to figure out that Cliff was the guy. What is your criticism of last year. Do you know what was going on in the locker room, with the coaches, and on the field? Just curious.
Yeah, I actually do know what was going on. My sources aren’t the coaches. It came from players. Truthfully, it doesn’t matter to me that much. I am a fan, won’t change the progression of the team, I still support the program and don’t attach any significance to anyone on this board having “inside knowledge.” I also try to be non-biased and level criticism when warranted, plus give credit when it is due. I come to Egriz for the entertainment and some information. I don’t care that you don’t agree. That is your prerogative and opinion. I embrace the fact that others might not agree. I think Hauck has done a poor job with the QB position during his second tenure. Sneed would be an exception to that. Kid was a baller. Hauck excels in other areas and is a solid coach. He just drives me nuts at times and is his own worst enemy in certain areas. I refuse to blindly support any coach. Might as well be a fan of MSU if a person goes that route.

He didn’t last year.

Found Luke Flowers dad :ROFLMAO:

In all seriousness I think last year was a futile effort in hoping that KAY would catch fire the same way Cliff did the year before, but injuries had other plans. Then Fife was just such an up and down guy it was hard to rely on him.

My hope is that the 2025 Griz have their planned starting QB in week 1 and don't do the carousel. KAY opened spring ball as the #1 but some minor injury gave way to Jensen who really stepped up over that time. We'll see!

Ha! Poor genetics would definitely rule me out as any relation to Flowers. I am not sold on Kay, but he is young. Showed flashes of brilliance and then regressed a bit. Normal for a younger player. Injuries maybe had something to do with that. I like the kid and hope he is successful. I suspect Jensen will be #1 coming out of fall camp.

I think if KAY is healthy, he is #1 out of fall camp. He just can't stay healthy.

I think this offense can be its best with a healthy Ah Yat but agreed Jensen brings the intangibles that this staff loves.

I still think you don't know what you are talking about, and you clearly don't have the same sources that multiple posters on the board have. if you only get info from players, and not also from coaches, then you certainly don't know what was going on in the qb room. That's fine. Post away.

Johnson was a terrific qb too, but got hurt several times. I don't even get your complaining in 2023. Too slow to find McDowell? Huh, McDowell wasn't showing much early? Once he got going, he had a terrific season.

"don't attach any significance to anyone on this board having “inside knowledge.” You will never be a top poster if you don't figure out and communicate with the handful or so posters who often have terrific inside info.

If your goal is to be a top poster on Egriz, then it’s time to reevaluate your life.
