Returning FCS O-linemen

Screw Herder. Locker room material for the bigs.

His disdain for Montana is blatantly obvious. I don’t think the Griz o-linemen need any more motivation or incentive. Will be interesting to see how all the pierces come together this year. I like what this staff has done. Picked up some bigs and it appears there is some pretty good depth.

I feel like the only returning OL you could make a case to be on that list is Liam Brown. I’m optimistic about this years unit but last years unit was very underwhelming.

Not trying to to be a jerk, but Grim
I don't find it that difficult to believe that the Griz lack a top 35 FCS offensive lineman
No to mention, but it looks as if he was simply going off of 2024 awards (lazy journalism).

Do we have anyone on the team that got 1st, 2nd or HM last year?

I'm not surprised at all, our offensive lineman were average at best last year. I'm not putting all the blame on them because having a new o line coach who was young and stayed for 1 season probably didn't help, but there was a huge drop off from the year prior to this past year, especially at center. And after watching this years spring game, our centers don't look that good either. They could barely snap it straight back to the QB consistently. Often times the snaps were too high and to the left.
Hopefully this new o line coach can turn things around and protect our QB and make some holes for our rbs. A lot of big plays that Eli made weren't because of good blocking on the line, it was him breaking a tackle and then out running the rest. Actually the receivers did a great job at down field blocking.
We all know our strength is in our running game until one of our QBs can step up and take the reins, thus our o line play needs to be 10 times better than last year. We don't just need big bodies, we need lineman who are smart enough to pick up different blitzes at a moments notice and have good footwork. It doesn't mean jack shit if we have lineman that are 6'6" 300lbs if they can't move and control the line.
LIke I've said before, it all starts up front. And that goes for both sides of the ball. If we can't control the line of scrimmage then we're in for another disappointing season by GRIZ standards.
We need LEADERS and guys to step up!

Very well said.I agree 100%.Even though this should be obvious we will see how it shakes out this year.If not, we have a coaching problem.

Any one of us could write an article related to FCS football and it has the same level of credibility as Haley or Herder. I’ll give em credit tho they’ve carved out a nice little niche of sheep who waste time reading their stuff. They don’t know any more or less than the next guy.

Since I do not follow the Bobkittens, I never heard of Titan Fleischmann, who made the list. He made the second team all BSC and only was a starter for one season. Why is that so special? Seems the writer just grabbed someone off the player roster to fill a space. Prove me wrong Bobkittens!

Unfortunately Journey hung it up and won’t be back, correct?

The slate of OL transfers posted to this board suggests the cupboard was less than full. Can't really get excited about the newcommers and gripe about not making the Hero top returing lineman article.

It is May. I get that these reporters need to write about something during this dead period. Really doesn't mean anything. I would say that the Griz have more depth at OL than any other season in Bobby 2.0. Depth also brings competition which improves overall performance.

Brandon Casey was 1st team and Journey Grimsrud was HM
Thank you, but I did look up those awards and saw neither on the BW depth chart (ha!), so assumed they were not on the roster. In other words, we don't have anyone Haley could have lazily thrown on the list.
