Pro Day 2025

I hadn't heard that. Why on earth did they say no?!
He posted a picture of an email from someone in the NFL player personnel department, and their reasoning seems to be that since he graduated from McNeese in Louisiana, and UM is not an FBS school, he wouldn’t be allowed to attend a pro day in Montana.

They're adding to the list of stupid $hit they have opinions on... and really shouldn't matter as what are they going to do, has no eligibility left? Unless they are threatening the school....

I fail to understand why the NCAA would have ANY authority to stop ANYONE from doing their pro day anywhere they fucking want, as long as the school is ok with it?

I mean, NONE of the kids have eligibility left, they're not students, so WTF?

To be honest, I don't see why the NFL has that authority either. The school is putting on a pro day and inviting scouts. I don't understand the possible logic and reasoning for them to even care where he does his pro day, though I get that I'm biased AF on this one.
Yeah, I don't get it, either, but the person references some unknown (and seemingly un-Googleable) rule that he would be breaking by being from Texas and having graduated in Louisiana as disqualifying for the Montana pro day.

It is my assumption that the NFL is trying to help control expenses for the teams in the league and limit the NCAA holding the number of Pro Days. It is this older general rule why this action is taking place. This also allows the NFL in talking points to say they are helping the teams in the league.

Yet Pro-Day was already planned and no additional expenses would be incurred as the teams who want to attend had already planned on doing so... control of expenses makes sense if this was in addition to other days but doesn't seem to be the case... my guess is is that the regional scout network doesn't want the potential candidates leaving, more like protecting exclusive sales territory.
