My dude- we hired Norcross away from a Division 3 school- University of Mary Hardin Baylor.
Is this the kind of powerhouse football program pumping out coaching talent on the rise? Give me a fucking break.

Over 10 years ago. If the guy is such a hot commodity, then why was he coaching D3 prior to here?
Position coaching in college is a brutal life. Head coach is gone and you are gone. He coached last year at a FBS school. He left Vanderbilt in 2019. Not over 10 years ago. If you last 4 seasons in SEC you are more than qualified to coach at an FCS school. Also a stint at Fresno State before that and 9 seasons at Nevada from 2001-2010. And he was run game coordinator in those years which were very good teams. Who else could Griz have gotten more qualified in February ? A young guy that was just a Grad Assistant? Who?

First, D3 is not as far away from FCS as you think. Case in point, the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota was a D3 school four years ago and this year, their MBB team beat us.
Second, here's the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Football History. Based on their success at D3, I would say they are a powerhouse D3 program. Us Griz fans would love to have that kind of success over the last ten years.

Because coaching is a who you know business, and a D3 coach was giving a friend that lost his job a new job until he could find a job. It is not rocket science.

It could happen since we are not moving up and the FCS is getting close to D3.Just think of the coaches we could hire.

I understand that the options are limited in February, but come on. Dude last coached a 2-10 team with a leading rusher that had 600 yards and was out of coaching for the 4 seasons prior.
