Escape from Boz Angeles
Weird, I was told everything is all roses over there, and everyone is completely bought in on this upcoming year..... #catcultureEscape from Boz Angeles
They better hurry up and roll out that transformative gift soonWeird, I was told everything is all roses over there, and everyone is completely bought in on this upcoming year..... #catculture
I mean I hate losing coaches and players as much as the next guy. But the reasoning seems pretty simple to me. Make more money and try to advance your coaching career. I have no idea what we can pay a RB coach, but my guess is the Detroit Lions are paying more. I know for a fact Bobby is more than doubling his current salary.I didn't realize this until right now, but wow, this is the second year in a row they have hired a coach that left within a month. Last year it was their QB coach, this year their new RB coach. I wonder why this seems to happen so often with coaches who go to MSU? Asking for me.

Assistant coach Justin Mesa, hired in January, leaves Montana State for job with Detroit Lions
Justin Mesa, who was just named Montana State running backs coach in January, is leaving the Bobcats for a job with the NFL's Detroit Lions.www.montanasports.com
Not a big surprise at all and happens all the time over there. People move there and realize, “Wait, I’m paying how much to live in this frozen, god-forsaken hell hole?”I wonder why this seems to happen so often with coaches who go to MSU?
That one was certainly one for the ages. Not a big surprise at all and happens all the time over there. People move there and realize, “Wait, I’m paying how much to live in this frozen, god-forsaken hell hole?”
Remember their prior AD who didn’t even finish his cup of coffee? The look on his oldest kid’s face says it all:

What a bunch of delusional bullshit. Bozeman is probably the most highly desirable destination in Montana for outsiders. Not a big surprise at all and happens all the time over there. People move there and realize, “Wait, I’m paying how much to live in this frozen, god-forsaken hell hole?”

I don't disagree with the logic of why someone would leave an RB coach job at the FCS level for an NFL job. But it is FAR less normal for people to take coaching jobs and then bounce so quickly for another job. Why are they offering guys that already have one foot out the door? Are they offering jobs beneath the expectations of the guys they are interviewing, or are people getting there and THEN being disappointed?I mean I hate losing coaches and players as much as the next guy. I don't have to like it, but no reason sports should be different than any other occupation where 99.9% of people would leave their current job for another that doubles their salary.
I grew up in Bozeman after age 12 and still have lots of family there. You don’t know what you are talking about. On this or anything else. What a bunch of delusional bullshit. Bozeman is probably the most highly desirable destination in Montana for outsiders.
I'm a Missoula native and love my city, but to sit here and pretend as if Bozeman has some sort of substantially different or worse lifestyle is just absurd.
And as for coaches leaving for bigger, better paying jobs- that is a good thing because it means your coaches are in-demand. That is a problem that we (outside of Ronnie Bradford) don't seem to have had for quite some time.
I think the opposite. It's you that is delusional and have no idea what you are talking about.I grew up in Bozeman after age 12 and still have lots of family there. You don’t know what you are talking about. On this or anything else.
It has to be the comfy mild winters. What a bunch of delusional bullshit. Bozeman is probably the most highly desirable destination in Montana for outsiders.

Who is they? Where are your facts as to how many offers may have been turned down? The facts are they are not beating down the door to hire any Griz coaches.
Which Griz coaches do you think want to leave? Most of the coaches are happy being at UM at this point of their life and career, including Green from what I've heard. The facts are they are not beating down the door to hire any Griz coaches.
