Good Interview with McDowell

Yeah, that was good. Hopefully someone figures out how to get more out of state families to games. MSO is tough, would help if southwest would starting flying in.

McDowell evokes a wide range of reactions here on eGriz, from very positive to very negative, all well earned. Here's my take:

Words/phrases associated with McDowell:
Mercenary, dual threat, 'well travelled,' bad judgment, cocky, quitter.

Words/phrases NOT associated with McDowell:
Commitment, honesty, character.

In six years, he played for five teams(Louisiana Lafayette, Kilgore JC, Central Arkansas, Montana, McNeese St. Also COMMITTED to Southern, Temple, and Prairie View A & M.
If family was such a big deal to him, he should/could have played for Prairie View, a 30 minute drive from home. He lied to them and DECOMMITTED and hoofed it to McNeese State.

And in the end - none of our opinions matter because we aren’t his bosses, family or anything.

I think that young man has showed an awful lot of honesty, class, and character in his life. He has been through a lot, and I commend him for keeping family first and his commitment to them over any football team. Family first, always.

WOW! Original material there, argh!😂
I've never been accused of being ANY of the last three, but the first two, YES, and a lot worse! Sticks and stones...🍺...L'Chaim!

I'll take a wild guess and bet Elrod, argh!, and MissoulaMarinersFan are pro-McDowell.
Like almost everyone who has posted in this thread. They have no clue about real life and live in some fantasy world where they believe everything they hear. They don't care about the truth. Don't challenge them or they will try to degrade you.

I'm not saying I would make those decisions - or have follow-up questions if for some reason he was an interviewee for a position. I do understand where he is coming from even though I wouldn't make or necessarily agree with his decisions.

I just run less hot on who I decide to call not-committed, quitters, etc because in the end, it isn't effecting me.

You’re no challenge, you’re a push over. Your feelings have been severely challenged because one player wouldn’t play one more year for your team. What a cry baby you are.

What negative character aspects of McDowell do you see? Please be specific. Or should we start with your definition of character.

Belkers Dictionary: Charecter-when someone does everything I want them to do for me, that’s good character.

I honestly still can't figure out why some label him the way they do, and when other players have transferred out of UM (Racanelli, etc.), they get nothing but well-wishes. It's a very odd difference.

They are welcome to their opinions/beliefs, as I am. They are probably waiting for Santa to come down the chimney. Oh, God, Easter is approaching, so they will be on the lookout for treats from the Easter Bunny. Their opinions of me have a much an impact as a fart in a windstorm.

Quite honestly, why the fuck does it matter? Belker, oldnmoron, and anyone else sharing their "feelings" about him just need to get over it

He has a track record of commiting, de-committing, quitting. Check out the list:
1) Louisiana Lafayette
2) Kilgore
3) Central Arkansas
4) Southern
5) MONTANA
6) Temple
7) Prairie View
8) McNeese State(ran out of eligibility, so he couldn't quit).

You have a COPY of my dictionary. I was told it was an original, one of a kind. 🤬
