I wear my pettiness as a badge of honor, and even I am not petty enough to believe they actually asked staff to remove those people from gogriz.

That kind of sucks, too, because I use it as a resource at times to remind myself who was on the team or whatever.

Not saying this has actually happened in the CFB context, but I’ve honestly had clients in the financial industry who left wirehouse A for wirehouse B, and A leaves them on the website because the broker has a significant book/is well-known. Can’t do it.

I know it sounds far fetched but they do it every year. The graduating seniors stay on the roster til it updates for spring but for whatever reason most of the big name portal entries are removed shortly after entering the portal. Raccanelli is still up though so who knows for sure. I know both Cliff and Kale were removed very last year too.

They are both still on the 2023 roster. They were on the 2024 one until they left, but they still show up for the season before.

Fife and Wilson are now gone from the 2024 roster. As far as gogriz.com is concerned, Wilson only played one season here, and Fife didn't play at all.

Logan Fife exists only in articles mentioning his player page that doesn't exist anymore, like a gogriz.com ghost lol.

Maybe they'll be retroactively reinstated to the 2024 roster (and Fife's page restored) when the 2025 roster comes out, but it wouldn't shock me if they went the way of Buschini after the 2021 season.

I understand there are also cave drawings near Hamilton depicting Fife playing for the Griz.

That must be more common than people realize. It happens in my industry, too. One of my co-workers is about to have to have an attorney send a cease and desist to get himself off of one of our competitor's websites. We've realized that competitor just leaves the quality people on his website endlessly. Must be more prevalent across industries than I had realized.

It’s unfortunately very common, and I’ve been on both sides of it. It’s shocking how many people don’t realize that it’s generally not advisable to make representations regarding a specific individual that are not/no longer true.

So if the university opts in to the house settlement, does that mean we need to cut players and if so who do you think will likely get cut? I still feel like we need another lb and dl too but if we are already well over the 105 player limit...I'm wondering how we can improve this depth but still be at 105 players

Could be. I’m interested to see where they play him during the spring. I expect he plays multiple positions until they settle on a position. I see him playing on ST this year and always think the extra tackling reps in practice help.

Some players listed are effectively “retired” but nothing is official, so I won’t remove names yet. When winter condo starts some depth guys will not take part and it will be clear who is no longer with the team. I also think there are potentially 1-2 grey shirts listed as freshman that will be part-time students who don’t associate with the team during the fall semester.
