jfc, i've seen griz players actively try to hurt opponents. names escape me right now, but the griz have had some major league a-holes in the past, and it was passed off by many here as a good thing.

mellot tipped over a fucking plastic garbage can. who knows what was going thru his mind, maybe he thought it would be heavier, whatever. i thought it was kinda funny. it's not like anybody got hurt.

Butte's a great town. I just don't understand anyone's belief that because someone hails from there, they get an automatic pass when they do something wrong.

It's okay to have an opinion on a chat site but not to have an opinion that contradicts a fact.

Example: Here is a valid opinion - Tommy Mellot has absolutely no shot of playing QB in either the CFL or NFL and was not one of the top 6 passers in terms of arm talent in the Big Sky this year.

Here is a valid fact - Tommy Mellot intentionally tipped over a trash can on the opponents sideline and regardless of his motivation or intent it was a loser thing to do.

I would argue the kid trashed himself, and we're just pointing out what thousands of others have said as well.
 
this brings me back to being at the gym the other day, and listening to some msu students laugh about how worked up old guys get when some 21 year old kid does something they don't like. as the students pointed out, the kid is... a kid. were your personality and decision making heuristics, developed at age 21? are they now?

He is just a kid and by all means sounds like he has been a great character guy for the entirety of his MSU career. It is really unfortunate that he trashes that reputation nationally because the nation’s impression of him is now trash can Tommy. MSU is a rival of UM and it is fun to see them get bad luck like this.

Bobcatbrawn is clearly a troll. There is no possible way someone can be that dense.

The whole "classless" thing is silly. Anyone on here ever done anything dumb in college? Tommy knocked over a trashcan. Who cares. It was kind of funny, but probably should have gotten an unsportsmanlike penalty (the flipside, bobcat fans, is that calling him 'trashcan Tommy' is kind of funny too). But that's sports. It doesn't undo four years of being a class act. I enjoyed watching MSU "loose" ( 🤣) as much as the next guy, but give me a break. This idea that some fans are sitting around watching their games with all of their "class" is ridiculous. Both teams have good fans and good people, both teams have some bad fans and bad people. On to next year.

He was sticking up for his teammate. Also can people not be pissed and frustrated. McDowell literally gave up last year, at least our guy kept fighting
