Vigen to Washington State after Frisco?

Kaligas is interim head coach at WSU now. Smith? Oregon State and Michigan State. The several other assistants who have coached with him? Leave or Lange? The Griz DE coach who had been at Yale?Pflugrad? Ohenicie? Was Pease with UM early? Do you exclude Dennehy and Glenn? T. Hauck. The DC who went to NFL a year ago? Pete K?, the ST coach who went Wyoming and now been at various big schools. Hudson?Ferriter, did he coach here before going to UNLV? Maybe not. Schillinger? Coaches that went with Bobby to UNLV. Rosenbach? Did Marty M coach at UM after college? Did Beers coach anywhere? Stitt? Has any Cat coach ever gone directly to head college coach?
Pretty sure he was discussing head coaches that moved up. You've named lots of assistants.

Dave Doeren at NC State may be the most successful UM assistant or head coach as far as moves up to head coach. Ever hear of him Mr. Football?

Q
How about head coaches. Position coaches and coordinators are a long list.I can only think of two from the griz. Hauck and the guy that went to USU. Both stepped on their dicks. The cats have had Lubbick, Sweeny and Choate. All have done well
Joe Glenn. Choate moved up to be an assistant, not a head coach. Sweeney's last season in Bozeman was in 1967. That was 58 years ago. Yes, Lubbock. 108-74. Choate is 3-10 in FBS, with a win over EWU. You think 3-10 has done well? Sweeney did well? Really? "He had only one winning season (1972) and compiled a 26–59–1 (. 308) record in eight seasons." One winning season and .308 winning record? Sweeney did better at Fresno. Doeren and Smith have done way better than any Cat coach.

This is what he said. I see no mention of "head" coach. "Remind me how many griz coaches have?"

Hoops the last time you played was nearly 58 years ago. For some reason that doesn’t have any effect on you.

No wonder nobody believes a word you fricken' say. Sweeny was 201-153 at Montana State, Washington State and Fresno State. That is extremely good. Especially considering the era and those three teams.

I posted his Wash St record. That’s what it was. What do think his reference to Fresno was? And8 seasons. The topic was moving up. Not what did before they moved up.

“Sweeney did well? Really? "He had only one winning season (1972) and compiled a 26–59–1 (. 308) record in eight seasons." One winning season and .308 winning record? Sweeney did better at Fresno.”

I knew Jim fairly well. He talked to me about going to WSU. He took 2 of the best players on mt Bozeman high team. We were neighbors with the Sweeney’s. Jim Jr was our high school QB.

What I said was correct. Everyone except you knows that.

Everyone except you thinks you're a compulsive liar.

Does it say something that there has only been one Cat coach to be successful moving up, since the 60's? Lubbock. So far. We'll see how Choate does in the future. Do some of these coaches qualify, as they were playing and coaching small college not I-AA/FCS.

Let's discuss Pac-10 coaches who have come to coach the Montana schools.

Lol.

Elrod, the sad, but true reality is that shit like that happens everywhere. You know what happens down south? It just never makes the news. Football is their religion, and if you’re winning, ain’t nobody getting in trouble for nothing. I know, I know, I have no “proof”. Never had proof that players were getting paid before NIL either, but everybody with a functioning brain knew it was true. Same is true here. Steve Sarkisian, heck, look at any story of that old Cajun coach LSU had that was an assistant at Miami in their glory days. Alcohol and drugs are unfortunately rooted in American football. The coaches, fans, players, all of em.
Not true entirely. The Griz get covered and scrutinized much more under a negative microscope than the cats ever had. It’s not even close.

If Bobby would had had his two top coaches get DUIs and in the process committing a felony to try and cover it up the media would have absolutely crucified him. He would have been fired and another book would have been written about the football culture in Missoula. Every single person knows this is true whether you admit it or not.
