I never once stated that I know the Gilman family because I have never met them.
I did say I had a friend that had a son who use to play for the Griz.

I guess that I just don’t like how you insult people so that is why I chimed in.

As I don’t know you or anyone else in your family I should have not made comments about your family or personal life.

You are obviously the kind of poster that I thought you were.

Obviously you are passionate about your team and arguing.

This back and forth really is no longer worth my time.

I am not a bettor or gambler and rarely better. I have never made an online bet. I have never made a bet in Vegas. I sometimes propose them on egriz, but they are almost never accepted.

I've tried to avoid jumping into these for a while, but Hoops introduced himself to me after I started posting on here. I've hung out with him a couple of times, and have gotten together with him and introduced him to friends of mine. Like many other posters on here, he has never been anything but kind and gracious when I have met him. When I was supposed to meet up with him for an away game once, I ended up getting an invite to the same place from another friend. We all ended up watching the game together, and Hoops subtly tried to pay extra toward everyone's meal. We aren't good friends that hang out all the time, but if you judge the person behind the account based on what he says on here, you aren't getting a very full picture of the man. He plays up aspects of his character here, but I have never seen him be anything but gracious as a person even when he is meeting people that he gains nothing by being kind to.

I'd give the same vouch for a number of people on here. I think a lot of us, myself included, get overly frustrated with some of the trolling done here. Sometimes that frustration comes out. But I have hung out with posters on this board that genuinely do not like each other, and every one of them that I have met is a good person who has been nothing but kind. I'd bring my daughter around any one of them I have met so far. And, though I haven't met him in person yet, Money is a good guy, too. He just doesn't seem to understand why his schtick over here could annoy people.

And, truly, nobody has more creeps that specifically come after him on a personal level on this page than Hoops.

“I do lack knowledge about Griz football compared to yourself, I apologize for thinking that someone who has actually coached college football would know more than someone who is in their 70’s and has never coached football at any level.

The following is without sarcasm:
Gilman has a great chance to establish huge numbers next season as the Griz football team plays 8 home games and they only play two FCS opponents in total that had winning records in the 2024 season. If his production against your rivals and into the playoffs still lacks his usual output I hope he transfers for his senior year. If he has any desire to play on Sundays he will need to be able to perform when he plays against his best opponents.

I don’t think I will ever post on this board again, I wish nothing but success for Gilman and the Griz football team.

A poster/person who always thinks they know more than anyone else is a deterrent.

That's a valid point, I'm sure "a lot" of money means much different things to different people. I'm doing fine, comfortable, have been very fortunate\lucky in my career. I have a great wife, pretty, and she's not with me because of money. I also have a lot of friends, some of them rich and some poor. Equally happy, and for the ones that don't have much money - the people I hang out with really don't care that these people don't have money. The people I associate with don't look down on them. One last point, for some of my wealthier ones (At least one of them has way more money than you do, I'd guarantee that), they don't act like it and they certainly never talk and brag about how much money they have, because nobody cares.

You don't know what bragging is and what goofing around, having fun and teasing is. I guarantee that my wife's family has a lot more money than your buddy does. Did any school ask your buddy for a $7 million athletic donation? My point to this joker, not your friend, was going to be that the law firm I joined out of law school, and my daughter did too, had a starting salary of $225,000 last fall as well as a guaranteed large bonus. Some people probably start some jobs above that, but 225 isn't a bad start. Senior and important partners in that firm make over $15 million, as they do in most of the best NYC law firms. That's not bad for a lowly lawyer. I agree with you that I don't care how much money people have, but for myself, I'm glad I'm not poor. Starting life in a two-room shack without running water or electricity, or obviously indoor plumbing, on the reservation, was fine, but, as I say, no one likes a nice bathroom and good toiler paper more than my sister and I. On the other hand, lots and lots of people care about how much money people have. You must be living in a shell.

I totally believe every word you’ve posted, but none of that excuses what the man has posted on here. Regardless of the real world version of Hoops, the online “caricature” is narcissistic, petty, rude, and at least occasionally mysogynistic. When confronted he just levies insults, bullies, and his sycophants pile on. He often starts threads just to start conflict, and then brags about doing so. He bullies and intimidates new knowledgeable posters, telling them to go away, and then astonishingly threatens to find them in the real world to silence them when they challenge him.

This online version of himself brings on the criticism he gets.

You’re right, he does play up aspects of his character here, but that isn’t a good thing.

I was just responding to your statement that nobody else has claimed he is a good person. I vouched based on my experience. I'm not trying to insert myself into an argument about how people should communicate online. As I had mentioned, Egriz has a tendency to bring out the worst in all of us at times.

And almost none of what you said is accurate. I provide plenty to the board. You provide nothing. You think teasing the Cats is creating conflict? That is pretty funny. You are a weird guy. Everything you say is a bit behind and out of step.
