Grant Olson

I don't think his wife Amy would never leave Fargo (very close family). She just retired from LPGA and had a baby last year. It would take a lot to get Grant.

There is only one of the current NDSU coaching staff that would come to Montana.

It's not Olson.

Most of them actively talk about how it's not a premier job so why step down from where they currently are.

I think the offense would be fine if it was consistent. The first 5 games this year was really good. Defense sucked all year. Bradford had a good defense for us but, before that the defense wasn't great either, was kinda bad. We had 1 really good defensive year in Bobby 2.0. I think most of the offensive issues are just not having the right QB.

Most of the offensive issues are due to poor o-line play. It wouldn’t matter if Cam Miller was our QB this year if the OLine isn’t consistent.

I would guess if someone was gonna pony up that much money, they’d probably prefer it go to NIL deals to pay some studs and ride out the last two years of the winningest coach in con history. He’ll at least get us to the playoffs. Not renewing him could also persuade a real promising coach who has some good choices and see that we’re serious about elevating our program to that championship expectation level.
Bobby may leave on his own. Especially when he's inquiring about other jobs.

I wouldn’t believe that for a second unless I heard it from Bobby myself. For one, who’s gonna hire Bobby based of what great accomplishments? Unless he’s looking for a downward move, he’s not going anywhere. This is Bobby’s retirement job. He’s riding this out till he no longer desires to coach or the school moves on from him.
