Frank Gogola Article

Perfectly stated. This same ass tard talked just like this before the Brawl in Missoula…literally just like this….and then his kitties got run out of the stadium and didn’t win a playoff game after he was claiming a national championship run…but him disappearing for 6 months was pretty epic.
Look, I get it. We're down right now, and they deserve all the shit talk they want for this season until we get a chance to redeem ourselves. They're kicking ass and, lord have mercy, they might win it all this year. That would likely be the worst day of my life, but I'll get over it (probably).

It just boggles my mind that the guy who couldn't run out of superlatives about his team and school for the foreseeable future before last season and then got humiliated soon after for it wants to come back and do the same exact thing. One coaching change could sink them back into sub-.500 football before they could say "where'd the vim go?"

So whatever, let him think his team is never gonna lose again. He'll get proven wrong a lot sooner than he thinks.

Here's a simple question for ya. With everyone MSU, SDSU, NDSU, and USD have coming back in 2025, do you believe the 2025 griz have a good chance of winning it all? Be honest with yourself now.

I think the Cats do, regardless of what happens this Saturday, and hopefully in Frisco if that Cats can win this Saturday. Making it to the semis is the norm for the Bobcats as of now.
I definitely think we need to wait and see what the Cats look like withoout Tommy. He’s more than just the QB.

Yes, multiple times. However, I also believe Vigen has gotten this program to an elite level with the culture of the program, talent level recruiting, quality depth, to where it's a machine that can keep on rolling despite players moving up to FBS, graduating, getting injured, etc. This is what NDSU did for years and it appears SDSU has arrived as well. I don't think the griz are there. Of course they could get there but IMO not with Hauck. So it's probably going to take a long time.
I don't agree with you at all on this. Not at all. This is more of your puff on the Cat program.

Sounds good, we'll see how she shakes out. The two programs are in different places right now, and the griz aren't at the same level currently. And I'm not just saying that based on one ass kicking Cat griz game this year. The author is spot on in how he laid it all out there with the facts, much better than I ever could.
The Griz kicked the Cats' butt last year and went way further in the playoffs. It remains to be seen where the Cats will go this year. Maybe the Cats aren't where the Griz are.

I am a die hard Griz fan and probably a bit older than Hoops.

My grandson sent me a picture that shows the wins of coaches for the last 5 years.

Vigen has 46 wins in the last 4 years, Hauck has 42 in his last five years.

We can talk about last year, Frisco was great until the 2nd quarter, but are the Griz were we want them to be in the FCS.

The Cats, SDSU and of course NDSU are, at this point in time ahead of our Griz. We may have the best stadium, but we have never been even close to the success that NDSU had had these past 15 or so years.

Is the FCS less competitive now than it was in the past, probably. To this old man it makes it even harder to swallow that the Griz are not dominating. Are school is in a beautiful place/city. I know that others bring up the fact that we don’t have any engineering degrees at U of M. Take a look at MSU’s team and there is less than 20 players that are enrolled in the engineering programs.

Bobby is a great coach, you don’t attain a conference record for wins if you are not a great coach.

I know that as I progressed in my career that I did not have the same drive that I did earlier on in my career.

By no means I am saying that Bobby is complacent. The past 3 or 4 years I am wondering if he has the same desire that he once had for the program.

I think the next two years will show us what he wants to accomplish.

We have a great coach and leader, let’s see what he can accomplish in the next few years.

PTSD.

Pro tip I learned this year regarding paywalls. I went to the local library and asked if my library card would give me online access to the local paper. It was a shot in the dark, and lo and behold, it does. It's probably a library by library thing (I'm in Helena). I assume almost all libraries now have online access to reserve and renew books, etc., so the newspaper access would be a likely additional feature.

And if you are prone to Catholic guilt, it's a guiltless pleasure as you have paid for the access through your taxes.
Love our little library out here in the Seattle area. Good to see someone else visiting them.

Griz were in championship game last season. Cats didn’t win a playoff game last season.

I think you're actually just trolling, but I will take it as being serious.

A bye is as good as a win, or better if you take into account risk of player injury.

The '24 Griz postseason performance isn't better than the that of the '23 Cats. Both teams were knocked out in the 2nd round by a Dakota State team. The Griz just didn't earn a bye this year and got a 14 point first round home win over a mediocre OVC team. The Cats got a 32 point second round home win over an OVC team that beat TSU.

You are putting too much emphasis on last year. The truth is last year was an outlier for both programs. The Griz made the Natty when they usually don't make the semis. The Cats exited early when they usually make the semis.

I don't hate Bobby Hauck. He is a very good coach that has coached Montana to a lot of success. I am disappointed in this year, and question if he is the right coach moving forward, given the Griz postseason performance and roster development during his second stint. I understand he isn't going anywhere, and will be coaching the Griz in 2025. I hope he puts it all together and fields another Griz team that can make a deep playoff run, and maintains that standard moving forward. If he can't, I hope UM finds someone that can.

Frank's article is pretty compelling.

Lol PR. Last year's Cat team beats this year's gris team by 3+ scores and you know this to be true. I love how you love to troll Cat fans on here but if somebody curb stomps you (easy to do btw), all of sudden you snap. 😆

Anyway, last year's Cat team beats this year's gris team by 3+ scores. Saying otherwise would mean you don't understand football. For starters, last year's Cat team finished 2nd in conference with last second losses to the marker schools, and as such earned a first round bye. This year's gris takes 5th place in the BSC with losses at home to the worst Weber team in a generation plus embarrasses the BSC with a loss to a pathetic ND school who had to finally retire their coach because of how bad they were. Yes, gris were utterly humiliated in both those games, and as such had to play over Thanksgiving against a terrible OVC team. I honely can't believe how much you're are bragging about that win. 😂 Aside from saying the Cats haven't played in the semis this year even after they destroyed a seeded team in the quarters, your two year comparison is simply awful, embarrassing for the gris fans, and lacks any actual knowledge of the game of football.

Not trolling. A bye is not a win, tho.

I don’t agree on your Cat 2023 analysis. Cats didn’t win a playoff game and lost to an unseeded team at home. Total embarrassment.

You are trying to discount a loss to SDSU in Frisco. You just don’t u destined football.

Not one person of importance in Griz athletics cares what you think.

Frank’s article is a piece of junk. Mainly haters and know-nothings liked it.

I am talking about what was accomplished by the teams. Pay attention. Cats 23 didn’t win a playoff game and got beat at home by an unseeded team. Total embarrassment.

Feel free to discuss things I haven’t been discussing. Can’t wait to see Cats get beat.

You are arguing with a fan base so desperately in need of validation they claim a zero - zero tie as a National Championship win.

You will never be on the same page as these professional clowns and your a pretty big clown

Mic. Drop. X. 100000000000000.

Well the part about cats trolls being clowns and the validation and mental health from 16 years of straight beat downs

Nah, never predicted that Cats were a lock to win it all, and I'm certainly not saying that this year. I'm just saying this program is built differently now. There are a LOT of things Choate started to build a championship program, and Vigen has built on that. I've said this numerous times but Vigen came on board with the blueprint for what it takes to build a dynasty. I'm also not saying the Cats are a dynasty yet, we'll see. But it's evident they are right there with the DSUs.

Good luck with this. Keep in mind, you're arguing with a guy that says the Cats haven't made the semi's yet because it's only Thursday.

That decade and a half beating created your current attitude and fan base. Frankly I can barely blame you that was tough to watch even from this side
You're not wrong. But you know the really annoying Cat fans on this board that you all talk about every day. The trolling ones talking up the Cats day after day after day? Well this will shock you but you had those very same fans. Even worse because of your championships and dominance over the Cats for so long. I don't like to generalize fanbases as a whole, but overall speaking Griz fans were simply impossible to deal with forever. I think you guys are just getting a taste of this with some of ours these days.

I still maintain the streak was terrible for the rivalry and I'd say the same thing if we were on the good side. A little success tends to bring out the worst and most vocal of fanbases.

Interesting, what anonymous bobcat football message boards were Griz fans taunting you on in 1996?

😉
