Level of competition was much better…and do us all a favor and post their stats side-by-side. Tommy is a great QB and the best in MSU history. Love the kid. Hard worker. Tough as nails. Classy. Yes, though he had something like +1,200 yds in the '95 playoffs alone. They didn't include playoff stats as part of the official stats, during those years. That's why they are always listed separately.

Ughhhh confession time. Dave is a hero to Montana sports. I have a 1995 Griz Championship poster framed and signed by him. Only cool story to come from all this is, if Tommy went to win it all this year, then went and played under him.

If the Cats win the national championship then the impact each guy had on their programs is similar. Otherwise they are two totally different players drawn a bit closer by Tommy’s improved passing. Both are phenomenal players!
