I expect 2-5 more freshman to join the team between now and fall camp. That leaves ~13-16 roster spots for transfers, assuming the staff is targeting the ~113 player roster size again.

I foresee 1-2 offensive players listed moving to defense.

Montana has NOT opted into the house settlement for the 2025 season. Hauck mentioned in the signing day press conference that they will operate with a 105 man roster in the fall, but I think ~113 is more likely. The Big Sky Conference set a scholarship limit of 63 for the 2025 season.

I think just about any of those guys in Defense could. The Beaner twins and Lentz are very good. On offense, Kanakaole is so big that he could break into the rotation. Probably just need to get him in game shape a little bit.

Beaner twins and Lentz are not as good as Opitz, Oven, and Boyd.

Brady put up numbers at QB, RB, WR, and S. Think he may also have had a few pr or kr yards. Brock did similar, on a smaller scale

Yea, I saw that as a junior Brady was running a 10.7 100 yard dash in track and a 4.49 40 yard dash. Those were eye popping out of a high school junior, and they are the kind of leaders you want. Quotes about Brock looking for violence as a hitter were also welcome. I'm excited about those two.

Apparently Brady also played long snapper, CB, LB as well.

If the University of Montana opts in to the house settlement, the roster will be capped at 105 players. If that happens, and 1-3 freshmen join the team, only 3-5 roster spots for transfers remain.

Perhaps this is a statement of the obvious - I think roster limits (if that becomes a thing) will impact freshmen mostly.

Griz and those like them will fill their spots with transfers. This will force freshmen to lower levels / jucos?

I think this is inevitable - sure does change the recruiting process.

Exactly what I think will happen. And if JUCO's don't count towards burning eligibility (or eligibility limits go away completely) there will be a titanic shift in how players are recruited, where they start/play as freshmen and sophomores, and how rosters are constructed.
